Republican Rick Santorum says that if he's elected president, he would bomb Iran's nuclear facilities unless they were opened for international arms inspectors.

Santorum says President Barack Obama hasn't done enough to prevent the Iranian government from building a nuclear weapon and has risked turning the U.S. into a "paper tiger."

Although I agree, playing this card now is counterproductive.

Santorum 2012!!! I can’t believe how excited I am that God is listening to my prayers! This clearly is a miracle. This guy is such a good man and is the MOST deserving to be in the White House. Yep I agree with his stance on Iran too. We need a strong President who is not going to “pussy foot” around. Get er done and Rick Santorum is the one to do it. REMEMBER FRIENDS THAT RICK SANTORUM IS A 100 PERCENT MORAL CONSERVATIVE!!!!!

I agree. If we can’t inspect them. Bomb away!!!!!!

Santorum: ~24% ..Will prove that the ingenious Hucka-WAY of visiting every county, campaigning in every Pizza Ranch, shaking every man/woman/farmer/home schooler’s hand
and kissing/holding/hugging every baby
from Iowa WORKS GREAT!!!

Romney: ~22% ..LESS than he got in ‘08 when Huck LANDSLIDED poor Willard

Paul: ~16% ..He’s sliding hard now perhaps BELOW Newt

Gingrich: ~14.99999% ..I think Newt can hit 15% tops — the $10,000,000 in attack ads sadly worked well, costing him 50% of his support

Perry: toast
Bachmann: toast
Huntsman: toast

Reagan also talked tough like this about Iran when he was running-—

and on the day of his inauguration when he acquired the power to follow up on his threats—the hostages were released

I thought we were doing a pretty good job of helping/allowing/??? a covert battle with the Stuxnet and other worms and terrible “accidents” killing military and top nuclear personnel. Why jump to nuclear if other methods can do the job.

I loved how the Iranians rubbed Jimmy Carter's nose in it, by releasing them only after Reagan took the oath, you had to know Jimmy's been pissed off about that ever since.

Exactly. And it doesn’t ‘educate’ which is so profoundly needed. Just gets the bandwagon types jumping. I hope it doesn’t portend his inability to articulate. Slogans are not going to win this thing.

Undisguised threats serve a purpose to dictator types. When Reagan was president the USSR thought he was crazy but they tread carefully because they also knew he wasn't a bluffer. He did many things to cement that image including walking away from Reykjavik and firing the PATCO strikers.

What a nitwit...candidates with no a chance of being elected are making more and more outrageous statements in a desperate attempt to get their name in the paper...not a smart move.

Before even being elected, he telegraphs to an ‘enemy’ what is military strategy would be...sounds more like the amateur hour to me...and we don’t need any more amateurs in office, do we?

Smart move by Santorum.

It further highlights to voters that Ron Paul’s support for a nuclear Iran is nothing less than maniacal.

And it will be interesting to see if Romney will be forced to respond and take a position before Tuesday.
