The Talk Shows
January 1st, 2012
Guests to be interviewed today on major television talk shows:
FOX NEWS SUNDAY (Fox Network): 2012 GOP presidential candidates Rick Perry, Ron Paul and Michele Bachmann.
MEET THE PRESS (NBC): 2012 GOP presidential candidate Rick Santorum; Matt Strawn, Iowa GOP chairman.
FACE THE NATION (CBS): Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky.
THIS WEEK (ABC): 2012 GOP presidential candidates Bachmann and Paul; Gov. Terry Branstad, R-Iowa.
STATE OF THE UNION (CNN): Ron Paul; Branstad; Rep. Steve King, R-Iowa.
Three tickets out of Iowa? I think 4, Newt will be in the hunt too.
Rand Paul is on the talk shows this morning to cut down
Gingrich and tell the world no Tea Partier should vote for him, they should all vote for his old man.
I heard him the other day on CNN. Newt, Newt, Newt, bad,
bad, bad, etc.
Newt will destroy RINO Romney in SC.
The Palin /Rubio ticket is sadly missing here. I think they saw the handwriting on the wall as well and both decided to sit this one out. I still say the election is ours to lose. You can’t fool the people forever.
Santorum was good, but the makeup and hair thing doesnt work for him. He looked like a fag.
Their conclusion is best summarized by the New York Times attendee.
FOX News (Biased from the start) declares that
Romney will "win Iowa" NO MATTER THE OUTCOME.
Astonishingly, before the break,
Wallace threatens Iowans that they may not "deserve"
to be the 'first' primary vote
in the future [presumably how they vote for RINO Romney].
FOX News. Biased from the start.
SO BIASED they must purport they are not.
Newt has a political tin ear, in my opinion.
%%%%%%
Newt is almost in an Asperger’s category with people skills.
A guy I already forgot about, saying people will soon forget about Iowa. (Huntsman)
We live in a pc world where truth is beaten back until its a distant memory.
What a good indicator, actually !
I thought he looked presidential. He even smiled once or twice, which he really, really needed to do.
I hate to throw all of FNC out the window because of a Juan Williams, BOR or DBM wannabe Chris WAlllllass. They do have some really good people there.
Time Magazine's Person of the Year: Newt Gingrich 1995
LEADERS MAKE THINGS POSSIBLE. EXCEPTIONAL LEADERS make them inevitable. Newt Gingrich belongs in the category of the exceptional.
All year—ruthlessly, brilliantly, obnoxiously—he worked at hammering together inevitabilities: a balanced federal budget, for one. Not so long ago, the idea of a balanced budget was a marginal, we'll-get-to-it-someday priority. Other urgent work needed doing: the Clintons’ health-care program, for example, which would have installed elaborate new bureaucratic machinery. Today, because of Newt Gingrich, the question is not whether a balanced-budget plan will come to pass but when.
Gingrich has changed the center of gravity. From Franklin Roosevelt onward, Americans came to accept...

Right back atcha Dolly!

You may discount their experience, but compare their resume to Obama’s including 3 yrs in the White House and it looks very good. No matter who we elect, the media will paint them as weak.
Happy New Year
I'm surprised that Newt did not put a better team together long, long ago as did Romney.
Even Perry, as lame as he is, realized that running for potus is about a team, money, competence and so many other things like something only Newt has brilliance and charisma.
This craze thing is crazy.
Why is Rick Santorum the latest craze. We all know he has good cultural conservative credentials, but where’s the appeal?
I don’t see it. Haven’t seen the show yet, but just don’t like him for president. He doesn’t have a record when he was in congress of being right on a lot of things. He couldn’t win his own state.
All I can think of is that Iowans (after all this) remain undecided and unable to commit to anyone. The latest person they hear who manages to hit some notes that appeal to them is the one they vote for IN THE POLLS.
I can’t wait for Wednesday. I am so sick of Iowa, I may stop eating corn.
