I’ve long said that Sarah will be a third party candidate. The Ross Perot of the 2012 election cycle.

Palin says not too late to consider presidential run

"It's not too late for folks to jump in," Palin said. "Who knows what will happen in the future."

Maybe she's not referring to herself. Does she have a squeaky clean rockstar candidate ready to jump into the fray?

I have been and remain a Sarah Palin supporter and if she EVER decides to run I will enthusiastically vote for her...

Whether there will be enough like me, well, I doubt it.

Having said all that I think Sarah loves to pull the media's chain and that means keeping reporters and journ0lists guessing. She realizes they'll say whatever they want anyway so why not give them something to sink their stupid teeth into while she laughs at all the ink they then waste trying to figure out her words.

It's like Jack Link's "Messing with Sasquatch". Except Sasquatch is the driveby media.

I was a firm Sarah supporter and I would have loved to vote for her, but the teasing and the games turned me off. I really think she does this to stay in the spotlight. The reality show she was shopping had no takers, so here we go again.

Rick Perry for 2012-—all the way.

I think that most are aware that we currently are ruled by man, not by law. Among those running for president I do not see any of them even thinking about correcting this let alone taking action to restore the rule by law. I believe that Governor Palin would take action to restore this nation and believing so would welcome her back in the fray.

I half expect to see an “It’s not too late to get in” article around Labor Day 2012, when some folks will pop up to tell us that this is part of a brilliantly unconventional campaign strategy.

For the record, I did not enter this thread and express my thoughts on this topic.

If Romney is the Republican nominee, I will be calling for Palin to run 3rd party the day after he clinches the nomination.

Could be she was waiting for the LWM to knock off all the rest of the “not Ronmey” folks so that she would not violate the Reagan commandment to not criticise your fellow Republican.

I just thought of something.

From my FR piece

(Vanity) First Take on Sarah Palin's "Going Rogue":

"...Finally, around the time I have stopped reading, Palin describes her time as Lieutenant Governor, her association with the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission (AOGCC), and her run for governor. This section of the book is a veritable gold mine, but it is worth touching on a few salient lines and points along the way. The most interesting thing politically, is that the FBI executed a number of search warrants related to corrupt legislators, relating to oil-and-gas interests. The next most interesting thing, is that Sarah was stonewalled by a number of people -- including the head of the AOGCC, the governor, the attorney general -- in getting to the bottom of the corruption. Her response was telling (p.99):

"I knew what I had to do, so I resigned -- stepping away from the ethical lapses and hierarchical blinders to effect change where I could--on the outside." "

Oh. Sh*t.

Do you suppose?
