The last debate before the January 3rd Iowa caucuses is being held tonight in Sioux City.
We get seven candidates at this debate: Mitt Romney, Newt Gingrich, Ron Paul, Rick Perry, Michele Bachmann, Rick Santorum and Jon Huntsman.
Fox's Bret Baier anchors the debate. Fox News panelists questioning the candidates: Chris Wallace, Megyn Kelly and Neil Cavuto.
Not only does it sound delicious, PM forgot the unwritten rule about sharing recipes early in the day so we can stock our bars before the debate!
Why do we allow open primary’s?
Alot of voters are not as intense in following or researching the candidates as freepers are...they base too much on news hits. We do our homework on FR and vet our candidates more than the normal voters.
Michele better lay off the Newt Romney thing tonight, because I’m certain they have prepared for it.
Here at last. Rain was preventing my DirecTV reception. Looks all right for now.
Thanks for this thread, kristinn.
Interesting. Ziegler is same one who deep-six'd Sarah Palin for president after giving her a good interview and defended her against the unrelenting MSM characterization of her as shallow, unintelligent, etc.
Ziegler has six websites all going back to one that takes everything bad about Newt, pulls it all together and presents it in one place. It's a one-stop source for info for both parties who want to bring him down.
I must admit it gives one pause after reading and make me depressed as to the possibility of regaining the presidency with someone other than Mittens.
Good post. Newt does make the most sense at this stage of the game.
Now THERE'S a damn good suggestion! Launching the primaries in Sodom and Gomorrah doesn't make a great deal of sense...
“Michele better lay off the Newt Romney thing tonight, because Im certain they have prepared for it.”

I really like michele, and would most certainly vote for her, but I really think she should avoid these “cute” type of tactics.
For our country’s sake, I hope that tonight’s debate helps the voters rally around a candidate other than Romney.
The primaries will be a test run for our ability to unite against socialism.
Nice to see the livestream link if need be! Thank you!!!
Yup. A little reminder:
Newt defended Sarah feverishly.
Mitt attacked her with proxies. His Team has, almost to a person, belittled her for four years.
Paul welcomed her help for his son in KY, while his supporters attacked her mercilessly online.
Bachmann attacked her when she hadn’t even declared.
Santorum made basically a public plea for her endorsement.
Perry has basically abstained from commenting on Palin in this race.
Thanks. I had no idea.
I’m beginning to think that Republican debates are becoming more commonplace than episodes of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire during its heyday.

Will Newt take another swipe at Chris Wallace for another dumb question...?
