I’ll believe Jane Fonda when she puts her money where her mouth is. How much money, above and beyond her taxes owed, has she sent to the federal government?

I don't understand this complaint.
She already buys into the concept of an unequal tax rate: zero income tax for 50% of the people, and a progressively increasing income tax rate as income increases.
Since she agrees the income tax rate should be unequal, she and her rich friends should cheerfully transfer their wealth to a Federal Government who they believe should continue to grow and grow. Nothing is preventing her or her friends from writing these checks - so write them.

Jane, there is nothing preventing you and your moronic leftist friends from making a voluntary contribution to the U.S. Treasury. In fact, there are provisions for sending in such a check. You can even write “because I’m a useful idiot wracked with guilt for earning a big living while playing make-believe” in the memo line.

Just send me the money; and I will ensure it goes to help people.

And of course all of these rich people don’t have tax accountants that will tell them how to minimize their tax liabilities, eh Jane?

Liberal belief:
Rich people control Republicans.
Rich people want higher taxes on themselves.
If the above beliefs were correct, taxes on the rich would certainly be higher by now.
The big question for Democrats is: Why didn’t you raise them when you had the votes to do so?

Hell I don’t even want them to donate their money to government. I want them to hire Americans or invest in industry.
