I hope the city stands up to them. The hassle and expense would be worth the fight. Break their bank.

I was suprised to see that my city has a Christmas tree in the City Hall lobby. As I paid my water bill, I mentioned that it looked good, and I was suprised, in this era of rabid PC.

The ole gal behind the counter said: "**** that PC bull****. It's Christmas." LOL!

Makes me feel just a little bit better about my local government. Not that I trust them with money.

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

I don't see anything to do with freedom from religion here.

Don’t Mess with Texas? Right. And yet they took paying college tuition to illegal aliens and forced vaccinations. I used to have lots of respect for Texans. Actually put in a lot of faith that they could be the saviors.

Contrary to what you seem to believe, it’s not just Texas. The small suburban Detroit city where I work has a life-size nativity scene complete with a manger that’s at least 9 feet high on the front lawn at city hall. They even illuminate it at night.

Bragging and thinking that you’re special or better than others is what turns non-Texans off about Texans.

I wish I could tell you where I work. Suffice it to say, it’s a place where the Constitution and Amendments RULE.
Last week, I set up a Nativity set. For anyone who asks, it’s a Christmas antique from my childhood. I’m not telling anyone how to feel about Christ or Christmas (luckily, I work with Christians), I’m just decorating our office in the manner to which I’ve been accustomed. First Amendment Rules!

Texas schmexas. The same leftist liberals tried to intimidate the little town of Evans City in western Pennsylvania.
The mayor told them to “Go pound sand”. One thousand citizens showed up, blocked off main street and dared the leftards to try and take their nativity scene.
There's a lot of woods around Evans City and plenty of room for shallow graves. Leftards beware.

Good for Mr. Hall! I don’t know where Athens is in Texas, but it will be on our list when we decide to move.
