U.S. Envoy: Washington Closely Coordinating With Israel On Iran
Haaretz ^ | 8 Dec 2011 | Barak Ravid

U.S. ambassador to Israel Dan Shapiro said Thursday that Washington has been fully cooperating with Israel when it comes to the Iran and its nuclear program.

"There is no issue that we coordinate more closely than on Iran," Shapiro said during a briefing to reporters in Tel Aviv.

Shapiro's comments come against the backdrop of uncertainty regarding the U.S.-Israeli coordination on a possible strike on Iran.

"There is no issue that we coordinate more closely than on Iran," Shapiro said during a briefing to reporters in Tel Aviv.

"We believe Iran is pursuing a military nuclear capability and we are determined to stop it," he added.

Well, the actions of the admin suggest otherwise. However, with this quote, the ambassador has stepped in it with both feet.

If April Glaspie's communications with Iraq in 1990 were viewed as tacit approval for an invasion of Kuwait, this cannot be seen as anything other than expressed approval of an Iranian strike.

Once Israel decides they need to act (likely alone and without prior warning/approval), the admin will be committed.....and in the middle of a campaign year.

If anything, Obumble would warn Iran before a strike.

The message might also be said to be an admission that what the Messiah believes or wants is not really a matter for consideration by the Netenyahu administration.

The Jews have rejected the second coming

That’s definitely true for Netanyahu. It’s his belief his family has a special place and responsibility in Israel’s security/survival. No doubt his one on one sessions with Obama have demonstrated he’s on his own until at least early to mid 2013. Not sure they have that kind of time.

Lying sack of s...

It’s more likely the Obama administration is giving Israeli secrets to Arab leaders in close contact with terrorists.

If Israel is coordinating with the US on much more than a superficial level, they are being badly compromised by the Clinton State Department and the now failing obama regime.

It is inevitable that some, if not most of the intelligence that Israel has worked up on Iran is being transmitted by back channels indirectly to Iran, who is then able to take some countermeasures to damp down or neutralize the efforts of the Israelis. Israel stands to lose way more in an Iranian attack, than any pro-Islamic regime here in the US.

The trick is to get the Arabic Sunnis and Iranian Shi’ites shifted into conflict with each other, and thus divert negative attention they have directed against Israel back to the real objective, doctrinal purity of the Islamic international conspiracy.

That should keep them occupied for centuries.

The threat was made indirectly that we might just soht down IAF planes. For that reason I suspect the first wave, if it happens, will be from the missile subs and very low flying UAVs. With the recent events in Iran, it may well be that the first wave is in progress. One component of surprise is building up expectations of a particular type of attack then doing it some other way.

The Kenyan wants another four years of screwing around and getting paid for it, and providing almost a half meg to his coffers per year, it really is hard to see how he might proceed with this. He is like a puppet on the string. Half the strings pulled by his masters on the far left who only want the US to go downhill and drift into none recoverable financial conditions, and obviously the transformation into a deeper state of socialism we are already faced with, verse further pissing off the other side who manage his strings, his base electorate.
I no longer believe that the Joint Chief of Staff and others in the military have any effect on his decision making. He and his staff just pretend they do. With Leon now at the helm in the DOD. I can only expect the most stupid crap to start to happen. And surely the ME monarchs, and dictators as well as Israel surely sense the US is being controlled by clowns with a broken keel in an endless sea of high waves.
Perhaps in the final analysis the Israeli will reach a point where they do feel they have to go it alone. And not even consult with the hildabeast as she jets around in her plane with a bottle of rum in her hand or others within this current administration. Notice how quiet Susan Rice and Samantha Powers have been for the past three quarters of a year.

Perhaps Israel and the UK can take on Iran together. They’ve still got a world-class navy whereas Israel has almost none, and without carrier support, any ground invasion must fail.

I appreciate your remarks. But I was just getting ready to log off after responding on a number of pings. But IMHO. I do not think either of the mentioned could handle what is required to take out all the 150 plus deep facilities Iran has over time put into place, where either or both of their navies and airforces have the required assets in the way of the newest super deep penetration guided bombs to take out such facilities. We had gone into details for months on end a few years back on what is required. The distances and mix of required total air superiority as well as heavy stuff simply are not possessed by the two mentioned nations. This whole affair would be totally different then the Israeli attacks against say Syria's nuclear facility or the 1981 attack on the Osiris Nuclear power facility in Iran.
So with all due respect to our very fine allies, the realities have not changed. I really must hit the rack. Do have a great upcoming day.

That’s why I say a ground invasion is necessary. This is not there-and-back-again like Osiris and Syria. Israel has great ground troops, but its navy is nothing more than a glorified coast guard unit. Somebody must provide the naval and air support for a ground invasion. Since the US is presently being run into the ground by a gang of clowns, that leaves Britania. Other than that, there is no remedy other than covert help for dissident students and Kurds, which is a shaky prospect at best.
