GASTONIA, N.C. — Administrators at a Gaston County elementary school say they suspended a 9-year-old boy because he sexually harassed a teacher.
WSOC-TV reported that a letter shared by the boy's mother says he has a history of using inappropriate language about other students. The woman says it's the first time she'd heard that about her son.
The boy said he called a teacher "cute," but the school says he used the word "fine." Brookside Elementary School says the child's comment amounts to sexual harassment.
The school's letter said the boy had been warned for using racial slurs and other derogatory words to describe other students.
A school district spokeswoman would not comment, but says the district is investigating.

Another school has changed the “Deck the Halls” because they can’t have gay apparel. One last year suspended a student for having a butter knife in a locked car. Imagine what life will be like in 10 years.
Just in case there is visual evidence.
I thought that sexual harrassment was about power, not about sex. Isn’t that what we were told all along?
I hope some lawyer emerges to teach the school district and especially the teacher a lesson they’ll never forget.

My sister in law recently took early retirement from teaching in NC public schools. She was tired of students telling her to go F**k herself.
Don’t underestimate a 9 year old for one minute. Just because *yours* are normal.

The kid was also dropping N Bombs which is what actually got him suspended.

I don’t think there are a lot of conservative lawyers. Also, there needs to be a cause of action; meaning the boy must be injured or some law was violated. Chances are that isn’t the case.
There seems to be a trend where teachers and administrators are turning to law enforcement instead of old-fashioned discipline or talking to the parents. It’s a disturbing trend.

At one time I would have said this was impossible.
But more recently I have passed a group of 9 and 10 year old boys in the street on their bicycles. They were saying the most lewd and overtly sexual things about passing women.
When I was that age all we wanted to do was ride the bikes and play baseball.

Maybe Mrs. Robinson was trying to seduce him. Actually these days it wouldn’t be unheard of.
