If you watched the GOP Candidate Forum on FOX tonight give us your comments. (Vanity)

Anybody watch the 3-Hour GOP Candidate Forum on FOX tonight? Care to weigh-in with your comments? I thought Newt was absolutely awesome. Rick Santorum was very impressive. Bachmann was o.k. Romney and Paul were.... well.... Romney and Paul. Rick Perry, bless his heart, made it difficult to watch. I held my breath as he halted in trying to stick to his stump speech talking points. Don't know if anyone else caught it but, Rick was the only candidate who, incorrectly, called the Attorneys General the "Attorney Generals". Poor Rick.

” Seems like everyone’s in a foul mood”

Can you blame them? ;-)

It’s a sorry crew; Newt is brilliant but a piece of work personally, Bachman has her heart in the right place but just isn’t ready for prime time, Perry is too inarticulate and very shaky on immigration, Ron Paul is not going to be taken seriously by anyone who considers the US to have its rightful role as the only, or biggest, most interventionist superpower (even the Democrats want to play world cop- I admit that I am highly anti interventionist, wouldn’t have fought a war since 1812 except WW2, but no way could Paul win, not in a million years on that stance). Cain seems to have self destructed, or at least not been ready for the muck thrown at him, Huntsman doesn’t inspire the base and I want to take a shower after even listening to Mitt.

That said, any of them is better than President Obama, I’ll support the nominee, but it’s kind of like anticipating a colonoscopy, you know where it’s going and the worst is yet to come.

I think this election, for most americans, is a lot like finding out that there is no TP after relieving oneself; whether you are of the right or left persuasion, the prognosis is not cheerful.

“What a rube.”

You know? Truth is, he’s not a rube. The booming, loud-mouthed rube who blamed everyone else for his problems bowed out today. Remember?
He even blamed Perry. Never apologizing to his supporters for misrepresenting his virtues, he just vowed to return in another form. Yea!! AND he’s going to endorse! Yippee ! Can’t wait.
Rick Perry is an exceptional American who has lived an exceptional life. Fifty percent of all criticism aimed at him is related to his talking Texan. Bush went through it for eight years and he wasn’t as Texan as Perry.
I’m glad we’re only looking for smooth talkers, fast talkers. It’ll be fun to watch smoothness battle it out in the Presidential debates. We’ll win either
way, right?

Perry just needs more time to grow into a strong candidate. Check back in 30 years.

Seriously, I will miss the comedy of his campaign after he drops out.

Although Perry is my second choice...today..he is no rube.

I watched Rick Perry, and he did a good job. I didn’t hear him mispronounce anything. We are in the middle of a serious campaign where if the Republicans don’t win we may permanently lose some of our basic rights. And it is infuriating that some of you a playing an endless game of trivial pursuit.

If we get Newt, we will get more sexual adventures hitting the fan than we have seen since “I never had sex with that woman” Clinton.

BINGO, and Newt has Government right in the Middle of all his ideas

That’s the impression I get. Gingrich is the biggest big government conservative. He loves his bright ideas and can’t wait to implement them. He’ll gladly give away eliminating what doesn’t work to get his favorite program passed.

You are correct. He did say “attorney generals.”

Maybe, but at least he’s not a Yankee!

Two questions:

Do you remember when everyone said he was a nut job because of his views on the federal reserve and the national deby?

Second question:

What would you do to stop Iran from getting a nuke?

1) I don't recall exactly what his views were on the national debt or the federal reserve. I don't recall him ever mentioning a flat tax and abolishing the IRS.

2) I think we need to work closely with Israel (Not with Obama in charge obviously) to target Iran's nuclear facilities and decide whether to take them out preemptively.

He has been saying all three for years.

What did we do about China, India Pak getting nukes?

One last question.

We spent billions upon billions in Afghanistan, Iraq and Libya. Plus a dreadful number of lives on all sides.

Within three years Afghanistan and Iraq will be Islamic countries, essential parts of the caliphate. Lbya already is.

So the question is; was it worth the price in money and lives for just a few years of make believe democracy?

Newt is 68 years old now and I imagine Callista keeps a pretty close eye on him so I doubt we will see that kind of stuff with him in the White House.

I watched most of it. (N.Y. Rangers game interfered) The thing I liked most was no libs asking dumb lib questions. Almost all of the questions were relevant.
I thought the best answer was Gingrich & his George Washinton reply.

When a man is a life-long politician, a 10-year sitting Governor and he doesn’t know that the correct term is Attorneys General, NOT Attorney Generals that is not trivial. If that was the only dumb thing he’d done, that would be one thing. But, just this past week, he thought the voting age was 21 and on Greta’s program, his excuse was: “I make mistakes sometimes”. No Governor (and he is my Governor) you make mistakes all the time.

Nice try Essie. But, the Governor dude is just friggin’ dumb.
