Cain to End Candidacy Tomorrow? (Major Announcement tomorrow.)
Big Government ^

Posted on 12/02/2011 11:35:32 AM PST by sunmars

Embattled presidential candidate Herman Cain is inviting his top supporters and donors to Atlanta on Saturday for a meeting in which he will give them advance word of whether he intends to continue his campaign, sources close to the campaign said Friday.

One supporter who has been summoned to the private session said he believes that Cain is likely to announce he is ending his candidacy.

Another who has been invited to the morning meeting says attendees have been told he has made no decision, but wanted to meet with some of the supporters to express his gratitude.

Several sources indicated that Cain is likely to announce his plans publicly at a news conference after the meeting. Cain had already scheduled an event on Saturday — the grand opening of his national headquarters in his hometown of Atlanta, as well as the announcement of his campaign’s freshly minted senior leadership team for the state of Georgia.

I just read a report saying that White had shown 4 months’ worth of phone records to the media - showing 61 calls or texts. The records being talked about now show 200 texts from her in a 4-week period. So from late October (shortly before Politico told Cain that bimbos were coming) she increased her texting and calling by at least thirteen-fold, including in the wee hours of the morning.

She had a lot going on, with the libel suit and eviction. Could have been that she was just desperate for the money. Or it could have been that she was part of the bimbo plan from the start. Somebody “alerted” the media to the alleged affair and it was they who went in pursuit of a story from her. Sounds like somebody had this synchronized.

Hopefully Cain’s lawyer is able to get to the bottom of how this all came down the pipe.

The bearing of false witness part is not mine. I spoke of gossip mongers.

LOL! Helmet-hair Callista knows she married a hound dog, and she keeps a very short leash. The platinum blonde is always the first one rushing to the stage following every debate. Doesn’t doesn’t let Newt out of her sight on the campaign trail.

Honestly, Callista Gingrich as FLOTUS is a scarier thought than Newt as POTUS. Ewwww

*******

Now, now. Don’t be so quick to judge.

I heard a woman narrating a conservative children’s book the other day — turns out it was Callista Gingrich. She sounded very thoughtful and intelligent. She also espouses conservativsm right alongside Newt — and is very well spoken. We really know nothing about her yet ...try not to judge someone soley by their hair, please.

And really — would you rather have 4 more years of Immelda Obama in the WH, spending YOUR tax dollars on jet setting, fine wines, $600 sneakers, etc?

The bad thing is that Cain may be basing his decision on whether he thinks the money will dry up, but with questions about whether he’s in the race or not, he can’t expect to be getting contributions right now. Kind of like investors don’t know whether to invest in America, or whether the America-hating communist in the White House is going to succeed in trashing the US. Why create jobs in the US if the government is going to steal all your profits in taxes anyway - after regulating you out of the ability to produce a decent product?

I hope Cain stays in.

Have you thought about the other “Rick” — Santorum 2012?

That’s why I am for Santorum, but I expect him to be long gone by the time of the March 6 Texas primary.

If given the right incentive, people will run you through with the long knives no matter what you've done for them.

This is a brilliant line, Scott. Santorum 2012

That seems a little drastic. Was Cain the only one you liked at all?

Cain was never going to get the black vote.

He might have gotten Gloria’s vote. That was always iffy, but pretty sure he won’t get it now.

Oh, perk up.

You should never have loved Cain that much. He was a politician and it’s never a good idea to idolize a politician.

There are other good people running. As far as I know, Michele Bachmann, Rick Santorum, Huntsman, and Rick Perry are moral people with good conservative values.

So far, Cain's lawyer has been less than worthless. Maybe he should hire Gloria?

Of course Cain knew he had a little stuff in his background, but when he initiated this run for president, I don’t think he, in his wildest dreams, thought he would be a contender.

If he hadn’t risen so much in the polls, people wouldn’t have looked at him and this would not have come out.

Not sure what his agenda was originally in running, but there are many advantages to doing it. (lecture tours, book sales, jobs, etc.)

“If Cain drops, I’m dropping the GOP.”

Well thanks for dropping by. (member since 11/18/2011)

How are Cain’s problems the fault of “the GOP?”

Good post and I agree.

By the way, Rick Perry is, as far as I know, the only candidate who has publically vowed to support the nominee whoever it is.

Ginger White needs to be able to fully account for her actions and be ready to substantiate what, where and when, and so does Cain.

Ginger White doesn't have to do a thing...she's accomplished her mission. There's no way you can hurt her because she has nothing to loose. Republicans still don't get it, Democrats play hardball and you better be prepared or get out of the game.
