Gingrich: Let’s face it, I’m going to be the nominee
Hot Air ^ | DECEMBER 1, 2011 | ALLAHPUNDIT

He’s at 50 percent in Florida and nationally, among likely voters, enjoys a 20-point lead on Romney. He’s not blowing smoke here. If he doesn’t stumble this month and Cain drops out, it’s absolutely possible that he’ll run the table in the early states. Unlike in other years, that itself won’t cinch the nomination — Romney’s got the cash and organization to press on, and there’ll be time before Super Tuesday for Newt to cool off — but still.

I feel like Pascow in “Pet Sematary,” pleading with Dr. Creed not to let his desperation drive him to something terrible. You don’t have to nominate Newt. You don’t have to do this, Louis.

He is making a good wine ;)
He wants to be precise and daring, not unlike Romney
who always plays safe.

He is doing a good job of fooling some of the people some of the time.

Give him some credit, after all 0bama is the proof positive that most of the people can be fooled some of the time.

Bingo!

It’s called “ego”, and it’s the one thing that could defeat Gingrich.

We already know that Newt. And we are glad of it.

Now, let’s roll up our sleeves and get busy!

Can we, The People, really win against the Establishment?

Not in the Court of Media-Controlled Public Opinion. The only way is to Go Galt en masse, but there aren't enough of us ready to do that. Yet...

He has the same kind of Narcissism as Obama.

Mr. Smartest Man in the Room, Mr. Best Debater, Mr. I Always Get What I Want, Mr. You Don't Fundamentally Understand, Mr. Intellectual Elitist. Now who fits that description?

That is not what he said, but I’m sure you could care less about that.

Thank you normy!

The difference between Newt and God is that God never thinks He’s Newt Gingrich.

The Gingrich Drinking Game

Yes, it's come to this... A shot every time Newt Gingrich uses a variation of the following words:

total/totally
profound/profoundly
frank/frankly
utter/utterly
complete/completely

Plus: extra shots for every major, historic and total institution he wants to figuratively blow up. "Total reform" counts as blowing up.

From the notes;

“...all you folks piling on Newt ... maybe you should look at his legislative record, you know, hard facts instead of discussions. His legislative record is very solidly conservative.”

Huh. Radical idea. Hiring a guy for the record he has while on the job you are looking at him for. Kind of like;

“I’m here for the chauffeur job.”
“How well do you fly a plane?”
“Well, no...I never...but I have driven professionally for...”
“You’ve never flown a plane?”
“No.”
“Next!”

Romney is not fit for this job. Commonwealth of MassaTwoSits? How’d he do? What about the Olympics? Ohhhhhhhhh yeah...JUST like running a country. Both full of communists, anyway, they have that in common.

Perry or Newt. The only choices left.

I’ll take Newt.

“But.....heeeeeeee’s fat. He’s a blowhard. He’s....

Who cares. I don’t want him to adapt me, I want him to organize and strengthen a party that can morph into something like conservatism someday.

Maybe then we’ll be ready to run with West. Remember his email to the wicked witch, copied to members of House Democratic and Republican leadership, characterized Wasserman as “the most vile, unprofessional, and despicable member of the US House of Representatives”, said that she was “not a Lady” and asked that she focus, instead, on her own congressional district.

There you go. I’d take him in a minute. Draft him next time if he still isn’t ready?

If he really said this - it could be the beginning of his implosion because of his lack of discipline.

He really does lack discipline. His is also disorganized.

He is more of an academic than an executive.

He is an idea guy who will not be capable of effectively leading an organization, let alone a country.

Newt is a snake-oil salesman, the ultimate insider and totally corrupt.

You MUST add:

"I’m going to be the nominee. It’s very hard not to look at the recent polls and think that the odds are very high I’m going to be the nominee."

He said the odds are very good and looking at the polls I'd have to agree. But you pull one sentence and use it out of context to put it in the worst possible light. Intellectual dishonesty is running amok on FR these days.

Newt is a big government Republican. The only time he is for smaller government is when the democrats are in charge. He won’t have any problem with growing the government when he is running it.
