I'd say he is going to be in for a good whipping when he gets home.
Cain wrote that the allegations are a crock and I believe him. People aren’t contributing because everyone wonders if he is going to fold. This is no way to run a campaign.
He’s been targeted so the dems can claim & hold the racial card all to themselves. There has been no evidenced offered (at least made public) that any of the claims are valid so why is Cain on the defense about this?
Something isn’t connecting here.
If Rev. Cain quits, we are all screwed.
Just how did he carry on an extramarital affair while on his what looked like his deathbed with cancer? Has she explained that yet? Or the shady dealings in her past? If David Axelrod can gin up a scandal campaign like this out of his apartment building, no conservative is safe. And I thought this stuff didn’t matter anymore. “Move On” to coin a phrase...
These thugs would be politically powerless if it were not for a complicit newsmedia and a brainless, gullible public.
If Cain is innocent, then I hope he will be vindicated. If he is guilty of adultery, then I would say that better to find out now before it is too late to put our efforts to elect him to POTUS firmly behind another candidate.
Clinton “moved” on and he was guilty as Hell—why can't Cain who has no credible evidence against him do the same? It's political suicide to even acknowledge the Leftist and RINO smear campaign IMHO.
I know that the allegations appear to be questionable, but why is it that Cain is the only candidate who is being hit with these allegations? I doubt that Willard will have women coming forward to make allegations. Like it or not, Cain is done. There is no way that he will be able to overcome the allegations so as to become a contender for the nomination. He can try to talk foreign policy now, but all that is being heard are the various women and the lawyerly initial response to the affair.
No way do I want to see Romney as the nominee, but I’m sure that Cain has no chance.
At the very least, Herman Cain lacks sound judgement.
I would KILL my spouse if he handed out money to single women and didn,t tell me. What man does that? If he handed out money to anyone, I’d be pessed.
Sounds like poor Gloria wasn’t involved in any financial decisions of the family’s money.
Wasn’t his wife aware this was going to happen or at least could happen?
After a thirteen year affair, I think there would be photos of the two together.
Cain’s campaign is on death watch, but if Ginger White is the reason, it’s the wrong reason. Her unsubstantiated accusation says NOTHING about him. If any of his supporters abandon him because of that, it says a great deal about them.
The accusers and their enablers have manipulated the political process in an evil way.
If Cain is innocent (and he is fully entitled to the presumption of innocence) he should be suing for slander/libel, and fast.
Given that Ginger White has already been adjudged a libeler in one court, it should be a slam dunk.
They would rather throw another election rather than change the status quo...
IMO, as long as the Cains have been married, his wife knows if he had a 13-year affair. She KNOWS. As vindictive as Ginger White appears to be, if nothing else, she would have made sure of it just to cause problems. If these allegations are lies, Gloria will insist that Cain stand and fight to the end. If they are even somewhat true, no doubt, they will realize that there is no real defense and he will bow out, maybe not until after Iowa, but he will drop out.
Lotsa armchair quarterbacks out here in la la land, with our own opinions about what Cain should and shouldn’t do and how he should or shouldn’t handle this and so forth.
Well THIS armchair quarterback thinks:
1. Mrs. Cain has had to handle these allegations by herself, back at home, and has only had phone conversations with Cain.
2. Cain did the right thing by honoring his campaign appearances that were on the books when this hit.
3. Cain put his attorney on it, and the attorney is moving full speed ahead.
4. Cain is making the right decision to stop the Cain Train for a pause, just long enough to go home, meet with his family face-to-face, and learn whether he has their full and complete support to continue or not. He must take care of the homefront first, and that means family. The campaign can afford a few days to get the Engine back on track.
5. I believe his family will support him, after they spend the weekend together, praying, and looking him in the eye, and knowing he is being truthful.
6. I believe next week will be full steam ahead for the Cain Train.
And obviously, I believe I have been wrong before, and I could be wrong here! Time will tell. :-)
