Makes sense. Who wouldn’t rather face a skilled debater and policy wonk with lots of government experience than a neophyte who sometimes has trouble stating the conservative line against abortion? Skip ahead to 8:30 of the first clip and keep watching through the first two minutes or so of the second. The best part is when he speculates that people have to resort to smear tactics because they can’t make anything stick when they attack him on … foreign policy. Mr. Cain, I believe you have a valid point
After Herman’s appearance on Cavuto, I sent the following email to his national campaign HQ:
Herman, As a supporter, I believe you would be Obama’s worst nightmare. On Cavuto, you said you’d assisted numerous folks with financial help over the years. Suggestion: Ask those others you’ve helped to come forward and say that in public. If they choose to remain anonymous, they could go before a judge and, under penalty of perjury, swear affidavits that you could then make public. That should be the end of THIS particular attack by Obama’s minions — until they concoct the next one.
That might be enough to get elected.
Who at this very moment has the most to gain by taking down Mr. Cain?

One, Alphapundit is a liberal Republican (read inside the beltway) (Romney supporter) who should be read with a grain of salt.
Two, Cain - either come out and explain the circumstances of your giving her money or just withdraw. The other allocations were superficial without context. This one needs some explanation from you.

I have your back sir, I will always be your voice, even against my father, who is super conservative, who made an analogy of you today to being as tiger woods, i said, no dad, Mr. Cain is nothing light tiger, he is frightening all of the establishment and the EVIL liberals.
You would think it’d be news worthy that the women who is accusing him this time is a lesbian who had a 13 year relationship with Kimberly Vay, a former business partner who said she never mentioned Cain to her.
But NO MSM stories have mentioned it.

Unless....maybe an onslaught of false accusations could lead to a sense that the issue should be set aside because nobody can actually prove or disprove anything.
The Left is masterful at this...Accusations are made then before truth can be brought to the top, an onslaught of all sorts of crazy accusations fly out and its all to overwhelming and everyone (any accuser) loses credibility......
I am going with Herman Cain. He is the bastion that is left, a fortress against the establishment, the Beltway Culture of the Elite that has hindered progress, lied, and is ruining America. I think these rumors are just tactics to eliminate him. I stand with him.

I disagree, it’s Obama. Newt likes Cain. Obama’s worst nightmare, is an articulate, black conservative, with a huge white backing and an actual message. I believe Obama is behind this 100%!
Fortunately for Democrats we conservatives prefer to eviscerate those leaders with whom we are most perfectly aligned.

I see it the same way. A genuine Black Christian has to be lied about, so the media can talk about what a model Christian life Obama has lived by contrast(unless you really look at what he’s about, but the media will never do that).
The thing can really, really backfire on Obama if Cain can bring out some of the similar people and/or prove that his relationship with this gal consisted of his and his wife’s compassionate desire to help her out financially. It would be a case where Cain was quietly practicing charity, not tooting his own horn or even “letting the right hand know what the left is doing” (as Scripture says) - and it only became publicly-known because the person who received his help betrayed him for more money. All this while Obama’s brother lives in a shack...
A pointed and unmistakeable contrast in personal focus and character, for those who aren’t able to see the difference between a guy who wants to protect all life no matter how small and a guy who believes that fully-born infants are disposable if the mother considers it too “burdensome” to allow the child to live and be adopted out.
After reading the Allahpundit column in its entirety I see he nails the time line of Cain’s own ambiguity in the first brief paragraph. This has nothing to do with Cain flailing at the seven minute mark on the video.

But aside from that, you need to watch the Neil Cavuto interview and acquire something called an INFORMED opinion, rather than just reading headlines and believing rumor and innuendo.
