After reports surfaced Tuesday morning that pizza magnate Herman Cain is reassessing his 2012 Republican presidential nomination bid, POLITICO obtained a statement from a Cain campaign spokesman regarding his candidates consideration of dropping out of the race.
Yes, the campaign spokesman said Tuesday when asked whether Cain would definitely remain in the race.
The clarification comes after the National Review Online released statements that Cain made in a conference call with campaign aides Tuesday morning. During the call, Cain made the following statements, We have to do an assessment as to whether or not this is going to create too much of a cloud, in some peoples minds, as to whether or not they would be able to support us going forth, Cain said.

For a significant portion of the last thirteen years Mr. Cain was suffering from stage 4 cancer. He underwent many treatments (chemo and radiation, I think). How on earth was he able to maintain an affair during that time? How could he make it "..very intriguing, very fun..."? Excellent point. Coupled with the back story on the woman who lost a libel lawsuit, we just might be beginning to see a familliar pattern here...

What a croc. He may very well have had a few commie names. But he smeared a lot of people for nothing more than being in the entertainment business. That is a fact. He was a despicable little man. The people trying to lynch Cain are no less despicable.

Check out the usual suspects — NARAL, NOW and Planned Parenthood. Checks may be in the mail to Ginger.

Wise up and give your head a shake. It is no secret that the Communists were attempting to take over Hollywood, and no less than our then-future 40th President experienced that first hand, and fought against it:
"In 1946, Reagan, then a Screen Actors Guild officer, vocally resisted communists as they tried to sway the guild and destroy the stagehands union. (SAG and the stagehands had been bulwarks against party infiltrators.) For this, Reagan became a marked man, and the FBI knew it. In an incident that he disclosed in his memoir FBI agents appeared at his house on Cordell Drive, informing him of a secret Communist Party meeting where the keynote speech was 'what to do about that son-of-a-bitch bastard Reagan.'"
Senator Joe McCarthy likewise knew and understood (unlike you) that the Communist subversion in America posed a real, not theoretical threat to our national security.
The only thing we agree on is that there are a pack of dirtbags out there trying to lynch Herman Cain. But to invoke what you (and the left) call 'McCarthyism', is wrong, incorrect and misguided. Your view of history is fatally skewed if you buy into the lies that the left have perpetrated regarding one of the greatest Cold Warriors to ever serve in the United States Senate.
Once again, I urge you: give your head a shake and read up on REAL history, not the propaganda that the leftist lamestream media passes off as 'history'.

"I would have to have people totally committed to the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of this United States. And many of the Muslims, they are not totally dedicated to this country. They are not dedicated to our Constitution. Many of them are trying to force Sharia law on the people of this country." ~Herman Cain IMHO, that's the money quote. Since 9/11 (and even disregarding earlier attacks like the Khobar Towers and the Embassy bombings in Africa), it seems that apologists in our government from the highest levels down have been sucking up to the Islamists, rather than confronting reality. If this doesn't stop, we are all dhimmis already, sold out by those who have taken a solemn oath to protect and defend our Constitution.

They're gun-shy about him and they've been reminded of his resilience in the face of their criticism over the last several months. Maybe they just wouold be happy enough with Newt or Mitt as the pubbie candidate that they are laying off him. After all, they have been busy battering the conservatives in the race.

Yes, well listening to the woman in this case...she sounded different. She honeslty sounded like she did not want to come out and sounded a bit sheppish about the whole affair. Maybe not sorry, but sorry that she now has lost the man that she thought really loved her?? I am not sure...

What is a croc is your pretension to have any knowledge of history - the investigations into the entertainment industry were conducted by the HOUSE Unamerican Affairs Committee. McCarthy was a SENATOR and not involved. McCarthy's allegations and investigations concentrated on communist infiltration of the government.
As to Cain, I do not know whether these accusations are smears or the truth. What I do know is that no accuser has, so far as I can tell, produced a single shred of EVIDENCE to back their allegations, and there are significant reasons to distrust the veracity of each accuser. And the media double standard is sickening. These sorts of allegations against a liberal would be ignored due to the lack of any supporting evidence. It's time for the media to put up (evidence) or shut up.
