DULUTH, Minn.Jeno Paulucci, a Minnesota business icon whose restaurant ventures included a company that popularized the finger food known as pizza rolls, has died. He was 93. Paulucci's daughter Cindy Paulucci Selton tells the Duluth News-Tribune he died Thursday morning at his Duluth home. His wife, Lois, had died just four days earlier.
In 1944, Paulucci founded Duluth-based Chun King, which sold a line of canned Chinese food. More than two decades later, he sold that company to R.J. Reynolds Food Inc.

It would be irony if the trash that made him cry was a Chun King wrapper.

Michelinas frozen dinners I love those! I buy them 5 for a 5 bucks at my grocery store every week. It's a cheap and easy (and delicious) lunch.
Five bucks for a week's lucch ain't bad. I work with people who spend 6-7 dollars a day at the cafeteria. I don't know how they do it.

I flew in the Duluth ANG years ago. My favorite Jeno memory is one day I was hanging out at the Skyharbor airport, which is on the sandbar which create the harbor from lake Superior, and Jeno came in with his friends from his lake home. His party arrived in 2 Beech 18 float planes. They landed in formation on the harbor, what a way to travel...

Same here. I can’t bring myself to spend more than a buck or two on an everyday lunch. I save enough in a month to pay for my gas.

Having taken some long cross country road trips the past three summers, we've noticed Chinese (mostly buffet style) restaurants in places you'd never expect a Chinaman within 200 miles.
The little joint in Pecos, Texas was unbelievably good.

I’ll never look at an eggroll or bean sprout the same way again but I’ll still enjoy them from time to time (sarc).
It’s kinda like knowing what’s supposed to beef or pork in a hot dog.
That’s not the fairest of comparisons but it’s pretty much the same feeling, especially when I’m hungry and there’s almost nothing else available.

He should have written a business book since he had marketing and sales figured out pretty well.

My dad calls any Italian playing a Native American in cinema or on TV a “Wopahoe Indian”.
Chief ‘Iron Eyes’ Cody was Chief of the Wopahoe tribe.
