Two wives will tell you not to believe him. LOL
BS, and more BS. And then you added more BS, if you cannot tell the truth about the number of illegals nothing else you say matters.
Protecting American taxpaying CITIZENS instead of pandering to foreigners with handouts is inhumane???
That should be the end of his political career IMO.
Only true with murder. Haven't you heard of the Statute of Limitations?
Did you just say some of us are racist and separatist?
That could be a banning offense.IMO.
Opposing foreigners on welfare and the taxpayers dime is not racist in any way.
Separatist? Yes, we are a separate and sovereign country from Mexico. Believe it or not, we expect politicians to respect that or we won’t support them.
Yeah, most of them would. You know which ones wouldn't? The very same ones he was talking about... the ones that have been here 25 years and have kids and grandkids here.
I wasn't happy with Newt's answer. But I agree with him 99% of the time. And even though I wasn't happy with his answer, practically speaking WITHOUT an exception like he makes, no immigration enforcement reform will ever get through Congress. If he's making MOST of the illegals go home, that's a quantum improvement over anything we've had in decades. I, for one, am more angry at Conservatives crucifying any candidate who isn't perfect than I am at Newt for saying something I happen to disagree with.
Bingo. My heart sank when I heard Newt's answer. I don't agree with him, but realistically his position makes sense. The reason my heart sank was because I knew that he had just failed the idiotic conservative purity test that keeps giving us moderates instead of conservatives for the GOP nomination.
They lied to make it sound like Cain wanted to kill illegals by warning them about an electric fence. People can say what they want, but the majority of U.S. citizens wouldn't be concerned with a few illegals who took the time to actually try to cross a fence like that knowing the risk, got killed. Cain needs to get back to talking about illegal immigration, and using it against those like Gingrich who don't see the damage(or just don't care) it's causing to our nation. It's a foreign policy issue as well, and Cain could make them look like the fools they are if he countered some of their attacks against him with this issue that's been completely ignored, and allowed to run out of control despite U.S. citizens objections.
It's a bigger threat than Iran, but we call the corrupt government of Mexico a friend, when they sponsor illegal immigration into the United States causing a bigger threat than any Islamic terrorist State, or Organization, does when comes down to the actual destruction of our nation. That includes the number of deaths, and destruction, money-wise, when it comes to comparing the two. It's just we have too many people who pretend to be blind to the one that will cause our nations collapse. Does anyone really think a nation like Iran could bring an end to the United States easier than Mexico is through illegal immigration? Statistics have shown we will break up if it isn't stopped, and is allowed to progress the same as it has been.
Guys like Gingrich have a history of pandering to illegals, and do just enough to make it look like they are doing something significant to placate a few when in power, while in reality we are pandering to the corrupt Mexican government while the problem just keeps spiraling out of control. Gingrich just screwed up the issues he is correct on, by being wrong on one of the most important issues our nation's survival faces. If we can't nominate a candidate who's right on this issue, when we have a couple of good Conservative choices then we deserve Obama.
These “Americans” are the ones waving the Mexican flags at soccer games and getting schools to ban US flag shirts on May 5th while they wear Mexican flag shirts.
They do not want to assimilate.
Very true.
Newt does not have core beliefs.
He can oppose individual mandates today and embrace them tomorrow if he thinks it will benefit him politically.
lol. So the answer is to nominate a man with no core convictions or moral center??
BS you need to research “operation wetback”.
We have delt with this issue before, and we can again if we choose too.
Well, **I** have watched it happen in SoCal. In fact, for around 33 of the last 40 years of my life, I've lived in Wilmington or San Pedro, two districts of Los Angeles that are both majority hispanic. (San Pedro probably 70%, and Wilmington probably 95%) While I didn't agree with Newt and didn't care for the way he stated his position, practically speaking I do agree he's being realistic. There is simply no way a politician could practically pull off 100% deportation... it would never get through Congress, and doing it with executive power would guarantee no 2nd term.
Post debate, the more I think about it, the less I disagree with Newt. Frankly, there is a statute of limitations on crimes far more severe than entering America illegally.
I see a bunch of them having 3 kids by age 16 with 2 different daddies, neither of whom is in sight. Yeah, that's some great family culture!
>> are excellent workers <<
... at taking jobs that rightfully belong to American citizens who can't compete with the immigrant wages they accept.
>> and are strong church-goers, you see that there are many points of commonality with maintstream conservatives. <<
Sure, that's why I saw hundreds of those "socially conservative" hispanics cheering on the "gay pride parade" in Chicago a few monthes ago. Heck, even black Obama voters crossed over to vote for Prop 8 in California. Did you hear about massive hispanic support for Prop 8? Me either. Because it didn't happen.
Catholic voters keep getting beaten over the head on this forum with the fact that "Catholics voted for Obama". But you know WHICH "Catholics" supported him? It was those "conservative, church-going" hispanic Catholics. A majority of non-hispanic Catholics voted AGAINST Obama. But even some freepers will ignore that little inconvient fact.
>> Guess what, they detest Obama, too. <<
Sure, Obama won 78% of Latino voters because they "detest" him. And McDonald's customers hate hamburger too!
>> They detest the failure to defend the border, too. <<
English-speaking lawful American citizens of hispanic decent do. Spanish-speaking illegal aliens certainly don't -- that's how they got here in the first place! Kinda like those McDonald's customers I mentioned that always buy hamburgers.
>> They hate crime, too. They hate the low-lifes, too. <<
Maybe they can stop cheering on their corrupt government then when Mexico shows up to whine and scream about some raptist/murderer from Mexico getting justice when he rapes/tortures/kills someone in America. Alot of these criminals even kill "fellow hispanics" and yet they feel sorry for the murderer instead of the innocent victim! I can tell you I'd have NO sympathy for some American scumbag who entered another country illegally and killed one of THEIR citizens. The bastard deserves what's coming to him.
by some estimates 70% of that great family culture of illegals are on some form of welfare, sucking the taxpayers dry, heartlessly and inhumanely depleting the treasury.
lol. If they are here illegally they should be deported, at the very least the benefits need to be denied to them.
Equating hispanics and illegals is racist IMO. That goes for the side arguing for them too.
If they here for 25 years and never even tried to start the citizenship process, then what? You consider them to be okay somehow? They have proven themselves to be foreign invaders colonizing our territory. They have shown no intention to wanting to become Americanized, nor any loyalty to the country they have supposedly adopted.
“Statute of limitations”?? When they leave or legally become citizens then that is the limitation.
