It is time for Real Americans to Occupy Black Friday

The Occupy mob has shown its true face with its call to “Occupy Black Friday” and boycott retailers.

The consequences of a boycott like that, if it were effective, would not hurt the rich. It would hurt the employees of the stores. Of course, the Occupy mob does not care about them. Their goal is very simple. They want to crash the economy. The more people they can force out of work, they believe the greater will be the demand for revolution.

We have to answer them.

Our answer is simple.

We will Occupy Black Friday for America and Real Americans.

Black Friday has its name because that is the date, traditionally, that most retail stores go from a net loss for the year to a net profit. Those profits go to pay the wages and salaries of our neighbors and friends. We must stand with them.

This Friday, go out for Black Friday and do some of your Christmas shopping. For many, the idea of shopping on Black Friday violates your 8th Amendment rights against cruel and unusual punishments.

I am with you on that.

I hate crowds.

But this Friday I am going to go out and support some of my local merchants. I am going to out and specifically try to shop as some of the chains the Occupy mob has targeted.

We need to fight back against the Occupy mob and make their “Occupy Black Friday” a complete failure.

Remember the motive of the mob. They do not want to protest the “rich.” They want to destroy the free market economy and replace it with a socialist model. All socialism has ever created is misery and poverty, while the free market has created the greatest amount of wealth for the greatest number of people in history.

The Occupy mob is not made of Real Americans. These are people who hate America and hate everything America stands for. They want to bring America down. We in the Tea Party movement love America and want to see America and our fellow Americans lifted up and made great.

We cannot stand by and let this attack on the American system go unanswered. On Friday, no matter how much you hate crowds, make it a point to go out and buy at least some of your Christmas presents.

Help save the jobs of your neighbors. These are the jobs that the Occupy mob wants to kill.

Trust me, my FRiend, I’m gonna LOVE it. Being frugal on some things, pays off for the things one does not wish to be frugal about :)

I don’t know who is more excited about it, me or him!!!!

If people want to stay home, they should stay home. People who want to shop on “black friday” should shop. People telling other people what they should do should go jump in a lake. It will take more than a few marxist idiots to crash the economy ...unless you’re talking about the marxist in the white house, who is running out of options but needs to be confronted.

You can’t make me.

You can’t persuade me.

I haven’t been shopping on Black Friday since it was just the Friday After Thanksgiving and the stores downtown put up the decorations that same Friday, and everyone went down that the evening, to look at the lights and hear the caroling and to see everyone else, with Christmas shopping rather a low priority? Our own town, our own townspeople. Not some mall somewhere else.

What am I, a hundred fifty years old? Did I grow up in Mayberry? No, and not at all, but it seems that way now. Do I change with the times and get up before dawn to fight my way through crowds in a big box store for one of three low low price flat screen TVs? Prove how much I love my family by buy buy buying all day?

Christmas is not consumerism.

Lord Jesus Christ, send us all a quiet, watchful Advent while we wait to celebrate your Incarnation into this fallen world, amen.

I wish they would “Occupy Thanksgiving”, and target those stores that are opening on that day; it is a disgrace. Don’t believe for a second that employees have the option of using a vacation day for that; just more evidence of the erosion of Americans’ position in the workplace.

Christians, look to see this happening on Christmas & Easter if there are no repercussions for those businesses.

Same to you... Hope you have a grand time!

Now don’t be shooting your own Turkey... They can be purchased at your local grocery store (not quite as fresh but reasonable)...

Happy Thanksgiving!

While I understand what you are saying, and I generally agree with what you are saying and why you are saying it, are you aware of how many other type jobs there are out there that do work holidays without the option of using vacation days?

And I’m not even talking about those considered “necessary” such as cops, firemen, nurses, doctors.........

Come Thanksgiving, don’t you look forward to a football game on TV or some nice music on the radio? OOPS, ran out of milk or butter. Someone is working at those TV and radio stations and convenience stores you just take for granted.

I do agree with the over commercialization and rushing of “Christmas” but what makes the store clerk any more worthy of the holiday off than any other employee of businesses you just take for granted.

You’re a piece of work.

When I was down the road yesterday buying squash from my neighbor he was cleaning turkeys for folks that had ordered the fresh cleaned ones and his niece was feeding the ones that had been ordered live.

My bird came out of the freezer this morning and because my husband’s car broke down closer to her house than ours, my SIL drove him home to me, so the bird and the squash and the taters all went home with her this evening -— just that much less for me to have to remember to put in the car Thursday morning.

Sorry, my FRiend. I’m just fine. I only related about the turkey because you made a comment about me shooting one and how it was easier buying one.

Just friendly chitchat

Oh okay...sorry, It was the first sentence that I did not understand: “You’re a piece of work”...

Well, the shooting comment was made because of the Reuger comment earlier. I thought that you might have meant Ruger - ie a firearm. Probably caused lots of confusion...ha.

I thought your hubby was buying you a nice pistol for protection. All comments followed that mistaken understanding, sorry.

No.

For several reasons, the first is that I do not have the money.

The second is that even if I had the money I would not go out on that day, I swear all the crazy people are let out of asylum that day.

Third, I have already done my Christmas shopping.

Fourth, if those nitwits try to disrupt the shopping frenzy they are going to discover the meaning of pain and I want to watch from the comfort of home.

Boy, right off the bat, I agree.

I’m not battling the malls, the snarls in the parking structures. Gonna stay home, eat, drink, nap ...

As the Al Borland line went from Home Improvement. "I don't think so, Tim"

If I buy anything on Black Friday, it will be on the Internet.

Oh boy - we’re both missing the boat here!!! All because of my spelling. I was trying to make a joke about not knowing what the company was......epic fail on my part, obviously.

Yes, hubby is buying me a nice pistol for protection.

As to my “You’re a piece of work” comment, I’m sorry if I offended, it was actually meant as a compliment because I enjoyed your comments.

I am so sorry for all of the confusion, as it is obvious the cause of it all lays squarely upon my feet.
