The debate is being held at Constitution Hall in Washington, D.C.
CNN is carrying the debate live at 8 p.m. EST.
Participating candidates are: businessman Herman Cain, former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, Texas Gov. Rick Perry, former Speaker Newt Gingrich, Reps. Ron Paul (TX) and Michele Bachmann (MN), former Gov. Jon Huntsman, and former Sen. Rick Santorum.
If Gurggle is for Paul, saddle me up for the next primary and give me a ballot, baby. Because that’s conservative commentary from one of the finest. LOL!

Exactly. Dream on if you think a million of illegals can be deported, no matter who says that. Newt is the only one who offered a realistic plan, and even implementing it would be pretty hard if not impossible.

Amen, wonderful post! People try to pretend like it’s not a crime, that they aren’t criminals, we hear politicians calling them “undocumented workers” (which is what my state, Texas, calls them) as a way to avoid the “criminal” label, but they are criminals. There is no denying it.
No Newt did not shoot himself in the foot. People would like to see all illegals deported...that’s not going to happen...it’s too late to deport 3o million people without a major uprising from them..they have proven they will do just that and no us government is going to let that happen.
So there has to be a solution to discern the undesirables over those who have made a live here for many years....and deport the rest...I agree with that...but wihs this “invasion” had never been allowed to get to this point. An our government allowed this to take place despite the outcry from it’s citizens.

You’re right, Newt was trying to reassure voters that he is moderate on this issue. He won’t go for blanket deportation of everyone.
Still, it would have been better to mention that Obama’s efforts to sabotage state measures (as in AL and AZ) are counterproductive.
Newt and Rick have nothing to apologize for on immigration.
The entire country generally agrees with them. Except for on FR, I know no one heaving on the idea for mass deportation.

Obama castigated both(wrongly)
He said several times he would deport many illegals - he even used the word.
His exceptions were only for long-term people who have established families and roots.
It was a bald-faced lie, and I am calling it that.
