Hosted by the Heritage Foundation and the American Enterprise Institute, the theme of tonight's Republican presidential debate is foreign policy and national security.
The debate is being held at Constitution Hall in Washington, D.C.
CNN is carrying the debate live at 8 p.m. EST.
Participating candidates are: businessman Herman Cain, former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, Texas Gov. Rick Perry, former Speaker Newt Gingrich, Reps. Ron Paul (TX) and Michele Bachmann (MN), former Gov. Jon Huntsman, and former Sen. Rick Santorum.
“When Newt called the illegals citizens...even though they might have been law-abiding....just lost ME!”
Wake up, people.
If anybody thinks we are EVER going to deport 11-20 million people, many of whom are registered Democrat voters, you need to step away from the meth pipe...
The answer is now, as it has always been.
CONTROL THE BORDER FIRST. Then, and ONLY then, are other “solutions” even possible.
LOL. Great line! All he needs to do is put his hand on his hip and then do the little dance afterward.
Perry said on Letterman that the look was kind of creepy.
They would just laugh at him like the world would if he
EVER got to be a leader. I’m not EVEN talking about him being
president!
Hahahahahahahaha, that’s great.
Cute.
The point is, they are a producer and exporter of oil.
All I know is, we need to get Syria-ous about it.
And thank you for answering that question. And somehow it doesn’t surprise me.
Consider, though, that if there was one place in the Middle East that was worth intervening, it was Syria.
Iran is the primary enemy. And Syria is an ally of Iran.
Libya, Egypt, Tunisia...were all under control -- with Western-friendly leaders. And no threat to anybody...ut the Muslim Brotherhood.
Syria is an enemy. And a threat to Israel. And the uprising appears to be a popular affair -- with no affinity for Islamists.
If you're going to intervene anywhere, in an attempt to replace the regime, it is in Syria.
Not in Libya...
Uh, what happened on sept 6 2007? Or do I have to go look it up?
PTL - LAST QUESTION!
Agreed.
Everybody answer this question starting with Rick, like it will get more than 3 people in.
No, Newt said Americans are not heartless, thus most Americans agree with him.
Newt will allow deportations, BTW. Just not a mass deportation of every single one of the millions of illegals, and you’re deluding yourself if you think there’s 1 candidate on that stage who would do so.
Perry is right. Put it on the table. That does not mean we do it.
Perry is making it up as he goes. Last week it was “half time gummint” now it’s “no fly zones”. Pulling idea out of his butt?
We’ve all seen the videos of illegals coming in...for years and years....and with that nobody willing to address or act on it....so now they are here in millions...it’s called “invasion” not immigration and that with the support of our govenment and congress who by not stopping it have supported and continues to support it.
So with that in mind...there is no “fix” to this..there just isn’t. Their numbers now are enough to stop or threaten any deportations...it’s never going to happen...too late.
Then he stated what he would do.
You hear only half of what is being said.
Santorum: We need to standup for Honduras..
We need to build the southern hemisphere.
Huh?
