Newt Gingrich gets good and bad news from polls today, one taken nationally and the other in the key primary state of New Hampshire. The national poll taken by Quinnipiac shows him doubling his support in the last three weeks to jump into the lead, 26/22, over Mitt Romney. He bests Romney in a two-man race by a wider margin, but still hasn’t gained much traction against Barack Obama:

but Obama likes to say bad things about America, and
goes overseas bowing left and right to other leaders.
He is not proud of his country, and the people will
throw him out.

Bets on the table: Michele Bachman is going to drop out and Mitt will name her as his VP choice.

And they will annhilate each other like anti-matter and doesn't-matter.

Hate to disagree with you but I think any of the Repub. challengers defeats obummer.

Obama’s gone regardless of who our nominee is. I personally would like to see Newt, Paul, or Bachman as the nominee but it really doesn’t matter, any and all of them can and will destroy obummer in the next election.

Obummer is despised by a majority of the American people and the dislike is deep. HE’S GONE.....IN 2012....!!!!

Let the Newt derangement syndrome begin...

Yeah, it sure is deranged to ask why Newt backstabbed Paul Ryan's budget plan as right-wing extremism.

And it sure is deranged to ask why Newt feels compelled to make public appearances with leading Democrats such as Pelosi and Hillary and to push for new federal programs.

And it truly has to be deranged to comment about how Newt has made himself rich feasting at the Beltway influence trough - all the while claiming he was paid millions to do anything but use his influence to lobby..

If that is derangement, well, I'm guilty as charged. As is anyone who wants better than more of the same Beltway idiocy this time around.

Cute.

I was playing around with ‘flavors of the week’ and came of with this:

Trump - taffy
Romney - neapolitan
Bachmann - flaky coconut
Perry - pecan pie
Cain - rocky road
Paul - chock-full-o’-nuts
Palin -
Gingrich -
Santorum -
Huntsman -

Obama is the “devil they know.” That’s why he wins, especially against a Democrat in Republican clothes, like Romney.....why not just vote for the real thing in Obama.

I have not heard that, and I can only guess. I will not say who I think, but I hope I am right.

Governor of SC since January 2011. Probably too early to evaluate any executive experience. She was in the SC House from 2005 to 2010. Very popular. Don’t know if she meets the Natural Born requirement. Her parents may not have been US Citizens when she was born in the US.

From Wiki:
Haley was born Nimrata Nikki Randhawa[10] in Bamberg, South Carolina on January 20, 1972. Her parents, Dr. Ajit and Raj Randhawa, are Sikh immigrants from Amritsar, Punjab, India. She has two brothers, Mitti and Charan, and a sister, Simran.

The potential female running mate I’ve heard mentioned with any seriousness so far is Nikki Haley

Isn't she a first-term governor?

Shades of 2008.

MB has been Mitt’s buffer all along. Her debates attest to that.

FOX has been pushing for Romney for some time now. Fox is becoming another useless waste of time. Geraldo shep smith, the phony Hannity who will not talk about conservative issues EVER, even Tandaros etc are RINO's who have no clue what social conservatism is about.

That’s why we need to go after Romney, and make sure he doesn’t sniff the nomination.

Cain in the only one who didn't come out of the womb wanting to be a politician. If the general public had to write a biography of the person they would like to be president, I would guess the story would be closest to Cain's. But when push comes to shove, we fall right in line with the same familiar faces that may take a long detour to drive us off the cliff, but make no mistake that we are still heading for that cliff.

I’m not saying romney isn’t a liberal rebub., all I’m saying is that obama is beat regardless of who the repub. nominee is.

OBUMMER IS GONE IN 2012......!

I’m making NO judgements on any of the candidates or their positons.

Simply making a statement. Obama WILL BE BEAT REGARDLESS OF WHO HIS OPPONENT IS......PERIOD.

Without rehashing the “natural born citizen” argument, which has been done to death on FR, I’ll just say that I sincerely doubt the citizenship of her parents will ever be an issue regarding her eligibility for the Presidency.

As for her lack of executive experience, I absolutely agree, and I don’t think she’d be a good idea as a running mate. I just think she’s a more likely pick than Bachmann.
