It was surprising to hear Rush Limbaugh say the words, I dont have the guts to bring it up, but he did, on November 8th, to his massive radio audience.
Rush Limbaugh lacking the guts to address something publicly? Rush Limbaugh not willing to tackle controversy? Really?
He was responding to a statement by a caller named Lawrence as they discussed Joe Paterno and the scandal at Penn State.
CALLER: Whats that?
RUSH: Nobody has the guts to actually give the explanation for what was going on and why there was trepidation in reporting it, and that's all I'll say. If you can figure it out on your own, fine and dandy. . . .
What was Rush talking about?
Lets put this in context. If there is any prominent figure in America who does not bow down to political correctness or media pressure, it is Rush Limbaugh. In fact, hes on record as saying that when people try to silence you, you should shout louder.
-snip-
What is it that, in his words, could end his career? What is it about the Penn State scandal that is glaring; it's right in front of everybody, and yet Nobody has the guts to actually give the explanation for what was going on and why there was trepidation in reporting it?

I’m inclined to doubt that’s exactly what Rush had in mind, but clearly we have reached the point where it is considered inflammatory and defamatory to point out the obvious: that buggering little boys is a homosexual act. Water is wet. The sun is bright. There, now I’ve said it.
I think what he meant is what we are starting to hear now as rumors and whispers.
That the penn st football program and by extension penn st itself was funded by the prostitution of young boys in the 2nd mile foundation. Sandusky and paterno were pimps for the administration and high level donors.
This is what homosexuality is all bout. The sexual exploitation of minors to compensate for the feelings brought about by the adults own childhood abuse.
If anything, I think there may be some organized crime connection here, and I mean old-time mafia-style organized crime. Gangsters run prostitution rings, don’t they? Why not a child prostitution ring? And what if Sandusky was doing “try-outs” among neglected kids to find out which ones would go along with bizarre sex?
Most people look at Joe and see a kindly old gent. But look at him closely, and let your mind wander for a moment. What if Saint Joe is really a “Don?” Oh no, no Rush, it couldn’t be!!!! Oh no? Why not?
In other words, the “Happy” in “Happy Valley” meant “gay.”
Well I seriously doubt that Rush hired Elton BECAUSE he is gay — but I have heard on good authority that gay activists are the one group he feared actual violence from.
I think he was attacked by a group of ‘mo’s on his tv show.
Obviously he`s talking about gay sex in sports, and how the powers that be don`t want to open that can of worms. One need only recall how he lost his commentator`s job over talking about race to know he`s wary of talking about another social issue in connection with sports.
Homosexuality is the elephant dancing in the china shop.
If you do, you will be destroyed; it happened to Anita Bryant, and it almost happened to Laura Schlesinger.
The Penn State scandal is a homosexual pedophile scandal, but you cannot say that publicly.
You have to call it a "sex scandal," because that implies willing participation of consenting adults, even thought that is not the truth about what happened.
“He never touches the rabid homo agenda which is destroying our Constutional freedoms of speech, religion and association, for starters.”
Not quite true...
He does mention it, from time to time, like the New York Times being run by the “Gay Mafia”, but I’m sure he also realizes that many of the radio stations he is on are run/owned by gays now.
The love that dare not speak its’ name, is now the love that won’t STFU.
Bingo!
>> He never touches the rabid homo agenda which is destroying our Constutional freedoms of speech, religion and association, for starters. >>
First of all, that simply means he does not share YOUR passion for that issue. Second of all, he still plays the Barney Frank “lollipop” bit from time to time. Third of all, he constantly attacks political correctness in all forms.
He has always shown more interest in economic and bureaucratic liberty and the mainstream media than in the rad homo agenda. That does not make him fearful. That simply is what he is interested in.
Bingo!!! We have a winner here.
Hes dead silent about it.
I have noticed that he always tends to shy away from discussing it. Callers will occasionally bring it up, and Rush generally tries to remain non-commental.
It is one of the things i've always found annoying about him. He's all for principal until you bring up THAT issue.
Right now, the story is Sandusky molesting children, and everyone else failing to say anything, from an assistant who witnessed it, to a coach who made a phone call, but asked no questions, and never followed up, etc.
The media, hasn't asked, nor brought up, are there others ? Not every child molester works alone, and this guy ran an organization, he was close with alumni, he had friends, he was no loner.
Who else knew, when did they know, what did they know, and was anyone else involved ?
>> Limbaugh has actually rarely focused on social issues compared to the amount of airtime he spends on the economy and foreign policy. He`s been that way since day one—abortion, gay issues, legalizing drugs, for example. He focuses on economic issues, WOT, foreign policy, more traditionally Republican [as opposed to conservative] stand-by issues. >>
I agree with your analysis of what he has always focused on. I disagree that this makes him more Republican as opposed to conservative - but it makes him more Reagan and less Falwell. But both are conservative.
And he’s always mentioned that social issues are critical to the true conservative mindset - but they have never been what he liked to talk about the most.
And that’s fine. We can’t all have the same hot buttons.

That's the subject, in conjunction with the pervert, ELRushbo dare not speak of.
Pretty much true, exept for brief moments in passing that I have observed. Same thing with Glenn Beck. He used to do things like fool listeners by pretending that he was in love with his sister and declare that nobody should judge them if they want to do the right thing by her and get married. It was to illustrate the slippery slope of the homosexualist agenda. Pretty funny stuff, it was soon after he went national if I recall, and you wouldn’t believe the number of folks who didn’t realize he was goofing.
