Uh, you realize that the age of consent in many parts of the US was 14 until the 1920s. It is at 16 in several states. “18” is rather arbitrary.

I fully understand what you are saying, and yes, we do disagree. It’s a polite and nuanced disagreement, but definitely a disagreement.

I understand full well what they do, how they hold an audience and why 90% what they spew is entertainment and does not pass for serious discourse on policy issues. When the battle over the repeal of DADT took place other than occasional perfunctory comments about the military not to be used for social experimentation both Rush and Hannity were UA. No Elaine Donnelly, no comments on false polling data out of the DoD. Not one mention on the policy ramifications, costs or moral implications of the repeal. Rush did not even provide a passing comment. I listen to them every day thinking they would pick up on what was really about to happen. I was wrong just silence. They are entertainers and the entertainment industry is pro-gay. Their silence spoke volumes. I expected to read that Rush was bored with it all needed new challenges and was thinking of retiring. Reading that his Achilles heal was the gay issue was old news. Rush avoids real discussions on gay issues like it was cancer. I no longer listen to Hannity, Rush and myriad of others “conservative” talkers because I discovered that even navel gazing would be a far better use of my time that listening to them. If I want to kill brain cells scotch goes down far better than hearing you're a “great American” 10 times in 10 minutes. I am not some single issue idiot but this issue is personal as is the attack on military retirees, veterans and servicemen, another issue given lip service. Do not get me wrong listening to any liberal talking head makes finger nails on a chalk board sound like Mozart.
To: OldGoatCPO
Given all Rush does to support the military, you are simply insisting on being unhappy with them.
Go ahead and enjoy your self righteous misery. Free country.

Rush may not want to say it- but by saying what he has, he may have gotten it out anyway (Rush is not stupid this way)
I am betting there was an entire ‘ring’ of people involved in pedophiles with the penn state issue

You make a good point - Rush cannot POSSIBLY say anything on the air that he does not have 100% absolute proof of.
If he state a ‘rumor’ on-air, he would be finished.
But he can get the rumor mill cranked up and let people help investigate it on their own, if there is any basis in truth. And Ihope people do, if there is.
My bet: (NOTE THIS IS ALL SPECULATION - I HAVE NO INFO - ONLY SUSPICIONS) Homosexual pedophile ring, involving many high level people of the NAMBLA type. If this was only Sandusky, he could not have gotten away with it so long. And if true I would put good money that a lot of democraps are in it. Republicans would be exposed and jailed.

One I share. Particularly if you listen to what he says after that statement. Of course, it fits with my own particular prejudices/opinions about sports in educational institutions.

"I think Rush doesn't want to say, or is afraid to say, is that there may be more then just one sick deviant involved in this...... Who else knew, when did they know, what did they know, and was anyone else involved ?"
I have no proof, just a gut level feeling, but I'll bet that this situation extends to many other colleges, beyond Penn State.

I think his occasional references to an “stealth government” running the country may enter into this discussion.

I have not followed this story so I may be totally off...but every time I see the headlines about this controversy linked to the children's charity I think about the scandal several years ago in I think Portugal where the politicians were using the children in the state orphanages for their sexual play things and party favors.
I think there just might be a whole lot more, maybe a much wider scope to this story that if Americans ever learned combined with the homosexual predator angle would have them picking up pitchforks and taking things into their own hands. That type of thing caused a stir in Europe but here???
Like I said ....conjecture...

Yes. You’re right ever since the homosexual activists came out of the audience while he was subbing on the Pat Sajak Show in 1990. Gave $10,000 to a Pediatric AIDS Foundation and apologized.
Also the guy who got him his big break in Sacramento was also gay.

I have no proof, just a gut level feeling, but I'll bet that this situation extends to many other colleges, beyond Penn State. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised, that said, Sandusky, was the architect of Linebacker U, and retired at the young age of 55, and never ever got another job offer from another college or even an offer to coach LBs in the NFL....nothing.
So, I'm not totally buying into this "we were all fooled" stuff. Also, nothing, and absolutely nothing I have read, suggests that Sandusky was a loner with no friends, who kept to himself.....

I also suspect that the Second Mile operation was one of many “feeder” operations supplying children to wealthy molesters, and that this network is widespread. I also believe that this network is “bait” to draw in support for a particular agenda, with the bargain being “help support our agenda and plans, and you can do ANYTHING you want, fulfill ANY fantasy you have.”

LOL--" buggering little boys is a homosexual act"--and molesting little girls is of course a heterosexual act. Men all know they they like them young, whether they're gay or straight. Mature men, virtuous men know that some desires are off limits and control their impulses or learn to have a healthy disgust for such impulses.
Yesterday on the Martha Stewart show she played a commercial where she was a model at age fifteen. Part of the commercial involved her being embraced by a man in his thirties, as she was playing his "wife." I was disgusted--but that was they way things were in the sixties when MS was a model.
It is interesting that we've gotten to a place that there are so many kinds of sex. Sex between a man and a child is another kind of sex, distinct from either homosexual or heterosexual sex.

You want Limbaugh to start spouting off about pop culture garbage? As far as I’m concerned he should double down on ignoring that nonsense.

Personally, I have wondered whether there is also a RACIAL aspect to this? I haven't seen much about the boys involved, but... they supposedly came from "under-privileged" homes... It COULD be, that they were all black.
But... the homosexual aspect is more likely what Rush was referring to.
