Protestors have declared today to be an International Day of Action, calling for people to "occupy their block," to "shut down Wall Street" starting at 7:00 AM, and to "occupy the subway" starting at 3:00 PM. We have been hearing that protestors, and the NYPD, will be amassing all over the city today, and will be live blogging dispatches from our own Village Voice staff writers Rosie Gray (@_rosiegray) and Nick Pinto (@macfathom), as well as photographer C.S. Muncy (@CSMuncyPhoto), who are on the scene through out lower Manhattan.

A “day of action” means something entirely different to these people.

I have one that rotates with a pumpkin in the middle, and candy on the outside.
It says Happy Halloween.
I amazed small kids (and parents) with it on Halloween...lol

Do you have a mortgage? Is it for under one million dollars? If so, go into the bank and tell them you want 3 months of no payments, or that you want two years of interest only and that you want that interest to be prime plus one.

They took five tons of garbage out of that park when they cleaned it. That didn't include the weight of the garbage people.

4:02 PMAnjali MullanyIn Union Square, the crowd has swelled to over 500 protesters.
Using the human mic, protesters called out to ask which schools are represented at the rally.
"NYU? - the crowd exploded.
"Hunter?" - the crowd exploded.
"Any CUNY school?" - the crowd exploded.
"Columbia?" - dead silence. After some nervous laughter, the boos rang out.
LOL!

I saw the cops from my office at the Harris County courthouse today. Evidently the protesters tried to block the Travis Street ramp onto 45 North. Luckily, it sounds like HPD took care of business - that commute is bad enough on the best of days.
I saw a group of 30 or so outside the criminal courthouse a couple weeks ago. The group was so insignificant compared to the usual line waiting to get in that they had to be pointed out to me.
Nice to see how ineffective they are here in the heart of the Evil Empire.
