The debt commission idea came from the Republicans. We can thank Mitch McConnell for the concept and Boehner for backing it.

This is all Boehner’s damned fault. He had to know this would happen!

Dems on the budget super committee walk away from heated negotations... Do they get paid when they walk off the job?

I'm surprised the RATs didn't change the locks and place security at the door
to keep the Repubs out. Again.

This is news? Everyone knew from the beginning that this is what the Democrats would do. Negotiating in good faith is simply not part of their makeup. If they couldn’t trick Republicans into voting for tax increases, then they would take the automatic cuts in the form of Pentagon reductions. It has always been a win-win for Democrats.

Dems, do us a favor and keep walking til you reach the cliff, and then walk some more. In the meantime, John Boehner needs to be voted out of office for setting this mess up in the first place. And let’s not forget all the Republicans who voted for the unconstitutional super committee. IT’S TIME TO CLEAN HOUSE - it will only happen at the ballot box.

The Republicans will cave. Count on it.

"Creating a fiscal supercommittee to cut spending from a budget, which the same people in the supercommittee have not even done in the past two years, is like asking Joe Corzine to run an investment fund and expect............. Not exactly - at least Corzine resigned when it became apparent he was a miserable failure.

Get out of the TSA and Amtrack, sell Amtrack off to a private company or companies, why this has not been done is beyond me.

Impasse in negotiations... dems get everyone back to table... dems walk out again closer to the deadline... media starts blaming Republicans for the impasse...pubbies come to table ready to agree with tax increases and a minimum of cuts to happen in 2020...dems speak of bipartisanship...we get screwed again! Script written.

The Democrats want more spending. They want “stimulus” out of this thing. They could not care any less about deficits.

Not. This staged walk out’s only purpose is to make gullible conservatives think that GOP RINOs are working n their best interest. This has been done before and always results in a RINO cave in.
