The whole deal was a set-up and, right on cue, the Pubtards walked right into it. An additional automatic $800B cut to the hated military without the Dems having to lift a finger.

No doubt. Reminds me of all the chest puffing, and grandstanding by the GOP, and Boehner last August. Blah,blah,blah...I know, I know, we need to elect more Repubs, and all will be fine /s

Creating a fiscal supercommittee to cut spending from a budget, which the same people in the supercommittee have not even done in the past two years, is like asking Joe Corzine to run an investment fund and expect.............

Children shouldn't be allowed on committees.
Never a doubt in my mind that this might happen.

Utterly predictable.
This is all about making Republicans look mean, evil and greedy (as opposed to ‘stupid’, which is the way they generally appear to the rest of us)
To: ZippyTheGreat
This is great news.
It must mean that the RINOS finally figured out that the contemporary meaning of "bipartisanship" is surrendering to the radical Obama Socialists.
Walking out seems to be a basic delaying and "wearing down" tactic of the "progressives."
DON"T GIVE IN!

It’s because the “cuts” in Medicare are not really cuts. They are the payment adjustments that get rescinded every year anyway.

Perhaps all these cowards can quick like little bunnies run off to Rockford IL.
That's where their state counterparts from WI ran off to when they abandoned their jobs.
Heck, the hotels there has become a dem/lib/prog/pop haven...the two big hotels there are even giving special "Coward Rates" to any dem/lib/prog/pop legislator who shows up!
Life is so wonderful for a lib!

I hope folks continue to light up the phones to Republicans, who were all set to cave on an [immediate] $300B tax increase and
only $800B in spending cuts.SPREAD OUT OVER HOW MANY DECADES??

The dems don’t want any kind of agreement, because an impasse produces massive Defense budget cuts that could have a crippling effect on the military... one of their “holy grail” objectives.
