Fifth woman raises questions about Cain's behavior
Washington Examiner ^ | 11/7/2011 | Susan Ferrechio

Posted on 11/07/2011 10:10:55 PM PST by Qbert

A former employee of the United States Agency for International Development says Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain asked her to help arrange a dinner date for him with a female audience member following a speech he delivered nine years ago.

Donna Donella, 40, of Arlington, said the USAID paid Cain to deliver a speech to businessmen and women in Egypt in 2002, during which an Egyptian businesswoman in her 30s asked Cain a question.

"And after the seminar was over," Donella told The Washington Examiner, "Cain came over to me and a colleague and said, 'Could you put me in touch with that lovely young lady who asked the question, so I can give her a more thorough answer over dinner?'"

Donella, who no longer works for USAID, said they were suspicious of Cain's motives and declined to set up the date. Cain responded, "Then you and I can have dinner." That's when two female colleagues intervened and suggested they all go to dinner together, Donella said.

Cain exhibited no inappropriate sexual behavior during the dinner, though he did order two $400 bottles of wine and stuck the women with the bill, she said.

The next time the women heard from Cain was Christmas, when he sent them his gospel CD.

Donella said she felt it was important to describe her encounter with Cain after hearing more serious allegations of sexual harassment brought by other women.

"I couldn't swear that he had some untoward intentions, but we all thought his tone was suspect and we didn't feel comfortable putting him in touch with that woman," Donella recalled.

"I think [Cain] should not be a serious candidate for the presidential nomination because of what I've seen," said Donella, an independent who said she voted for President Obama in 2008 and probably will again next year. "He's not a person I would want running the country."

Cain's campaign did not immediately respond to inquiries from The Examiner.

Wow. Number 5. There's no end to this.

It's like banging on the plumbing in a cheap apartment..... the cockroaches suddenly stream out into the light. Pretty soon there'll be so many scurrying around that you can't kill them fast enough before one spoils the soup.

Should we start a pool on the final number?

I'm for Newt/Palin.....at least these two have been seriously vetted over the years.

Overwhelm the system....

Hey, if they can use Cloward and Piven strategy, why can’t we, right? ;)

I don’t think he should attack the women directly.
He should attack those who are bringing them forth,

like Alred and Politico. Just point out their motivation, and say that their veracity is questionable, to say the least, when you consider their agenda and history.

Of course! And I have to live in this hell hole of a county!!!

The good news is it is cold and rainy today so hopefully the bums from #OWS in Chicago are having a fun day. It is nasty weather, guess the hippies will have to crawl back to mommy's basement.

Yep, great idea.

As it is here’s what I expect next... (it’s almost that bad now...)

Gloria:

I have called the members of the press together today, because I have been retained by another lady who was made to feel uncomfortable by Herman Cain.

My client wishes to remain un-named, but it was important for her to get her story into the public so other women who had been made to feel uncomfortable like she was, could be saved having to go through the same thing.

My client never met with Mr. Cain. She never talked to him in person or on the phone. They never actually had contact of any sort, but she was in the same city he was once.

This has caused my client many sleepless nights. It has haunted her for over fifteen years that Mr. Cain could have seen her while in the same city, and could have fantasized over her many times since.

This is the kind of blatant psychological abuse that some men put women through. They leave a trail of women in their wake, damaged, unable to hold a job, unable to concentrate on anything other than Mr. Cain, and what he might do next.

I just want the women of America to ask themselves if this is the sort of man they want to be president.

Moreover, a guy who has an on-going problem with women, it starts early in life.

“...I don’t think he should attack the women directly...”

But you gotta admit....you’d be laughing your ass off if he just stood up and said it!!! I’d be ROLLING on the floor.

But yeah, seriously, you have a good point. Allred is a typical liberal grievance-mongering, ambulance-chasing attention wh*re. Typical democrat legal wolfhound. Once again, follow the money. Who’s paying her, where’s the money coming from, etc., etc.?

The dems are ruthless scum. We need to be just as ruthless.

One good turn deserves another.

More than scare Republican female voters it is intended to scare primary voters into being worried that the first three women will change their minds and come out in say 10 months, throwing the election to Obama. (a Democrat I know was laying out this threatened scenario to me today.)

That fear would then peel away enough Cain supporters to Perry and Newt to possibly throw the primary to Romney. That would not happen now but a few months from now after the smoke clears according to the MSM/FNC analysts.

Then I heard someone else say the opposite, that if he survives this he will be unstoppable.
