Fifth woman raises questions about Cain's behavior
Washington Examiner ^ | 11/7/2011 | Susan Ferrechio

Posted on 11/07/2011 10:10:55 PM PST by Qbert

A former employee of the United States Agency for International Development says Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain asked her to help arrange a dinner date for him with a female audience member following a speech he delivered nine years ago.

Donna Donella, 40, of Arlington, said the USAID paid Cain to deliver a speech to businessmen and women in Egypt in 2002, during which an Egyptian businesswoman in her 30s asked Cain a question.

"And after the seminar was over," Donella told The Washington Examiner, "Cain came over to me and a colleague and said, 'Could you put me in touch with that lovely young lady who asked the question, so I can give her a more thorough answer over dinner?'"

Donella, who no longer works for USAID, said they were suspicious of Cain's motives and declined to set up the date. Cain responded, "Then you and I can have dinner." That's when two female colleagues intervened and suggested they all go to dinner together, Donella said.

Cain exhibited no inappropriate sexual behavior during the dinner, though he did order two $400 bottles of wine and stuck the women with the bill, she said.

The next time the women heard from Cain was Christmas, when he sent them his gospel CD.

Donella said she felt it was important to describe her encounter with Cain after hearing more serious allegations of sexual harassment brought by other women.

"I couldn't swear that he had some untoward intentions, but we all thought his tone was suspect and we didn't feel comfortable putting him in touch with that woman," Donella recalled.

"I think [Cain] should not be a serious candidate for the presidential nomination because of what I've seen," said Donella, an independent who said she voted for President Obama in 2008 and probably will again next year. "He's not a person I would want running the country."

Cain's campaign did not immediately respond to inquiries from The Examiner.

“start FLOODING MSA/Government Controlled Media news outlets with whisper reports that Herman Cain “glanced at me””

Great idea! I saw Cain suggestively glance at a woman in the front row during a recent campaign stop. Who do I call?

(Although the glance may not actually have been inappropriate, there was still the potential for unwanted behavior in that glance)

he sent them his gospel CD.

Omg! Noooooooo! If that isn't sexual harassment - nothing is!

Man, the liberals are going all out to make sure the Republicans don't end up with a black candidate. If they lose their race card - they're toast! They need that impoverished, dumbed down in failing schools, living in squalor, guaranteed, black vote locked up tight. If the blacks were to ever stop and think about who's really keeping them down - the democrat party would virtually disappear. They'd have to destroy an entire new race and start over.

And how long ago did he announce he’s running for POTUS? Crickets then. Wouldn’t these same women have come out then? Timing is rather suspect I would say.

Man, they’re pulling these bimbo hoes out of dive flophouse and sewer hole they can find, aren’t they?

Herman must be scaring the crap out of them, judging by the full-court press they’re doing on him.

Stand tall Mr. Cain. You STILL get my vote.

This was only supposedly nine years ago, 2002. Where's the receipt from this dinner? FOIA USAID and alert the OIG to produce this receipt.

A dinner bill at a Cairo hotel (likely either one of the Hiltons or the Marriott ... whoever held the State Dept. contract at the time ... and yes I know USAID is a quasi-standalone, but it's wound tight with State flunkies) with $800 in wine alone? Let's see it.

Actually the fifth’s one’s story above doesn't make him look bad.

#4 from yesterday makes him sound like an uncontrolled sex-aholic potential rapist-light. The story sounds completely contrived like a script was written for her with acting practice (dry runs) with the objective to turn off female Republican voters. Then you look into her background and who brought her out and the whole thing looks made up.

"This one will probably get a new job in a nice place for her loyalty."

I disagree. Look at Lewinsky (and she was telling the truth, whereas these last two women are not), can't even get a job, virtual recluse...

No matter where the fault line lies on any event, no one likes kiss-and-tells, or a tattletale, or a snitch...and Democrats are famous for discarding people once they are done with their 'useful idiocy'.

WTF? How is this even news. A man asked a woman out for dinner. Who the hell cares what it leads to as long as it’s not rape.

Clearly he can take no for an answer so what’s the big deal? Would they rather he hit on a man or a young boy? Then that would be considered a private matter and no one’s business?

This makes me support him even more.

They’re really showing themselves to be the pieces of sh*t we always knew they were.

I hope he’s man enough to stand the battering.

Would dearly love it if he held a presser and said, simply, “PROVE IT.”

And Jerry Sandusky subjected me to a late night surprise “tackling” “drill”.

Do we have a Bimbo's for Obama Ping List yet?

I at first thought this was the work of Myth but after all the news today and the fact that Bimbo #4 lived in the same building as Axelrod, I think this is a full fledged assault by Axelrod and Company.
