WASHINGTON One of the women who accused the Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain of sexual harassment while working for him at the National Restaurant Association in the late 1990s complained that the workplace turned hostile after she alleged that he made advances toward her during a work-related outing, several people familiar with her account at the time said in interviews.
The advances were said to have taken place during a festive night in which Mr. Cain and several younger staff members drank until late in the evening, and his flirty banter with the woman crossed over into propositions that she leave with him, these people said, speaking in separate interviews and on the condition of anonymity.

Right, because everybody knows that the best way for a man to cheat on his wife is to invite her back to his place in front of a bunch of people.
So she was paranoid? Feeling guilty? And he’s to blame?
I still call BS - this whole thing stinks to high hell.
Unless he Lewinski'd her or others, and maybe not even then, I'm supporting Cain on this. The do gooder MSM is trying to peel the tradionally Conservative GOP women from his voting block - they discredit Conservative women, they aren't as ignorant and naive as Liberal women. Most see this for what it is - a smear job.
The money and support is pouring in for Herman Cain, but we cannot slow down now. Please help him by donating at http://www.hermancain.com/
Also to help join the buzz about Herman go to facebook.com and like him. His likes have jumped dramatically since Monday (17%). Make no mistake Sean Hannitys BFF Karl Rove is watching Hermans likes and so is Romney. THIS is the way to stick it to the GOP establishment! Please tell your family and friends to like Herman as well.
According to anonymous sources? Are there no editors anymore? Regardless of what happened, I hope Cain sues the heck out of all involved.
Back then it was a man's right to ask; a woman's right to say "No." And it would end there.
The America we were, is the America we are no longer. It is a major part of why we are failing. Women with an aggrieved victim mentality, have done a lot to destroy social relations just to get attention. Pray for the aggrieved. Pray more for America.
When Herman Cain approaches one-half of the “Bill Clinton” standard, they can call me. Until then the P.C. whores can stuff it.
I would not want to be one of these women when their lives are put under a microscope.
His handling of the situation is troubling to me - Especially lashing out at others - pointing fingers at others, even naming others as the source of the rumors - without definitive proof.
What makes that any different than what is being done to him?
I would hope we get a president this time who can take pressure, no matter how undue, in a more stable manner because this incidence is NOTHING compared to what a President will be subjected to.
I was under the impression that she left the NRA shortly after this incident. Did she have time to experience hostility in the workpace?
Mr. Anonymous Source needs to call a group meeting with his various media outlets. They need to get on the same page.
This is starting to get that air about it like when the teacher would whisper a phrase to the student sitting in the first seat in a classroom. Then each had to whisper the same to the next until it got all the way around the room. Remember how much the two differed and was never the same?
I’ve watched these events both in the military world and commercial world. Typically, the HR guys want to just pay the person off real quick and dump them out the front door. Usually $40k does the job and you save a bit over having to pay lawyers to fight this stuff out in court.
In the military...they can’t pay anyone off....so you end up with some fix-it solution where the bad guy is sent off to some social rehab deal and gets some kind of paperwork in his file that indicates he shouldn’t supervise women.
In most cases, the woman who started the episode ends up with some paranoid feeling because half the office simply doesn’t believe her story.
“Right, because everybody knows that the best way for a man to cheat on his wife is to invite her back to his place in front of a bunch of people. “
Liberals do it all the time
“Back then it was a man’s right to ask; a woman’s right to say “No.” And it would end there.”

I recently learned at a mandatory company-wide sexual harassment rules training - large company - to my surprize, that according to our HR people themselves, it is ok for a man to ask, and a woman to say no.
The thing is, it’s ok to ask, just about one time. And of course one cannot be lewd about it.
But it is in fact ok to ask. At least that’s what was said. I was flabbergasted.
Maybe it’s just our company, but I don’t think it’s likely HR is going rogue about something that basic.
He has said he knows how to surround himself with the best. (paraphrased). In that sense, it is an opportunity for us to see if that is true.
Is it not time to stop punishing men for being, well, men? Thanks to feminism, women want to be treated like men, except that they like to keep their power over men by punishing them for being men. What a world we live in today!
:: crossed over into propositions that she leave with him ::
And, who propositioned whom, I ask?
I think that if someone in my office was falsely accusing a good man of bad acts, I would keep my distance from that person and it would be hard to hide my disgust of them.
