Herman Cain's campaign is revealing suspicions about who is behind the story regarding the former unidentified employees who accused Mr. Cain of sexual harassment in the late 1990's.

The person who was “behind it” was probably simply a journalist sniffing about for a good story, and Cain should have been ready for this to come out, especially since he now acknowledges (after denying several times) that he had discussed this earlier at the time of his failed run for office. And does it matter who was “behind” it? What about having Cain give a straight story in answer to it rather than trying to focus on who did it and attempting to tar the names of all of his rivals? In my opinion, this is disgraceful behavior.

We must pray for the safety and well being of Herman Cain. He puts on the full armour of God everyday if he is as smart as I think he is.

I think Cain is intelligent (he graduated with a Masters in Computer Science from Purdue, Neil Armstrong's alma mater), but like a lot of intelligent people, he is over-confident about his abilities. Big time politics is not like a bull session. Every utterance is recorded and scrutinized like a mess of oracle bones. Political handlers everywhere are looking at Cain and wincing every time he opens his mouth. I understand the temptation to schmooze the press, but the problem is that the press can't be schmoozed - they are solidly in the tank for Obama.

He needs to figure out with his staff the questions he will be asked and the answers he needs to give before the questions are asked. Political campaigns are like year long job interviews. Why wouldn't he prepare the answers ahead of time?

A friend of the Cain campaign believes a National Restaurant Association (NRA) employee out of the Chicago office leaked the story to the Perry campaign via information and influence from Mayor Rahm Emanuel's office.

Since the media has taken upon itself to be the public accuser, it is incumbent upon them to either 1.) name the specific sources and circumstances, upon whom it is also encumbent to pursue a public trial, or 2.) expect the scorn and ridicule of reasonable people.
