The 10/28/2011 episode of Blue Bloods was not shown. In it's place was a CSI NY. This is the Episode Synopsis: Frank deals with a political crisis after Jamie and Renzulli are injured by a church security team that refuses to let them enter a religious center in response to a 911 call. Original Air Date: Oct 28, 2011
“world series”
CSI NY was a repeat. My guess was that due to the series they ran repeats. I noticed this when other series games were played as well.
When the World Series went to the 7th game, the other networks scrambled and pretty much just gave in and ran reruns. Between Halloween parties and baseball, they knew they would have few viewers.
Why not run a Blue Bloods repeat?
Supposedly it will air next week.
Running a repeat of an ongoing series on its usual night and time when viewers are expecting a new ep is usually a bad idea as it runs the viewer base off, thinking the series is on hiatus.
Don’t know, don’t really care, I watch them both, though I like CSI: NY better before they replaced Stella.
I’ve stopped watching CSI since they brought in Danson
That’s true and I think it is the reason Chase got dropped.
Some times a cigar is only a cigar. The World Series should have ended the previous night but game six was delayed for a day due to rain. CBS did the smart thing and ran re-runs for the entire evening.
I just read this at http://insidetv.ew.com/2011/10/28/blue-bloods-world-series/:
CBS is outta here. With the World Series going into a seventh game tonight, CBS is pulling its original episodes of CSI: NY, Blue Bloods and brace yourself A Gifted Man. Repeats will air instead the Gifted Man pilot, then encores of CSI: NY and CSI: Miami (no Blue Bloods).
Your right about their explanation for why. Now we’ll see if they run it next week.
No Shiite!
I was hacked off and confused.
I needed my Bridget Moynahan fix and was ripped off!
I want a bailout!
Pics to follow....
Yeah, CSI is lousy with Danson...he doesn’t fit in, is an arrogant Metrosexual in that role.
I was upset to see that loser in the shows lead role ...
I continued to watch just to see how it would play out....so far he's growing on me....sort of
I fast forward though Dansons role in "Saving Private Ryan" whenever I watch it. LOL
They had Ed Begley on the CSI Miami this season.....almost fell out of my chair when I realized who the character was ....he is playing some sort of arrogant prick in the show....
One thing about Begley he does actually walk the talk concerning his moonbat environmental concerns....
World series game 7 was the reason Blue Bloods was not shown. Obviously ratings = Advertising $.. Game seven of the world series was watched by 25+ million.
