CHARLOTTE, N.C. Abdul Malik seems the prototype of a disenchanted Barack Obama voter.
Mr. Malik, 48, lost his job as a grading and landscape worker a year and a half ago, another victim of the housing bust. Since then, he has been searching for something, anything, to help make ends meet.
Yet, Mr. Malik, who is black, says he has every intention of again voting for President Obama next year. So does Bobby Hart, 46, a former construction worker here. And Dorothy Artis of Greensboro, N.C., who is looking for a job to help support her grandchildren while her daughter is deployed in Kuwait. And Larry Bennett, who worked for 27 years at Cooper Industries before he lost his job when his division moved out of state.
I dont blame Obama, said Mr. Malik, who had never voted before 2008. I dont blame him at all.

They *support* him, but I doubt very seriously they’ll be voting for him in the numbers compared to the first go around.
“A irresistible force (truth) meets an immovable object (racial pride) ... “
So true, but no matter how you phrase it (e.g. ‘racial pride’) it’s still a matter of racism, although you will never hear it called that in polite company. If black unemployment was as high as it is now, but we had a Caucasian president, what would be the reaction if there was an article in the NYT extolling that ‘White Voters’ Support of ‘white guy president’ Is Steady and Strong?
Plantation racism is alive and well.
The question is, will they bother to vote in multiple precincts like in 2008. I doubt that this go round.
You buy them books, you send them to school, and they eat the pages.
Remember th3e moron who said (you tube)that she was voting for Ostupid because if he wins, “I won’t have to worry about paying my mortgage or putting gas in my car”
Having voted in 9 POTUS elections, they can hardly call it racist based on a percentage of votes.
That makes just as much sense as the libtard arguments.
WWMD?
What would Martin Do?
At least you had voted previously. This the first time in her life she bothered to vote.
That’s the way I look at it as well.
Glenn Beck did a couple of shows with an audience of black conservatives and probably 80% said that they voted for Obama because they felt that they needed to vote for a black man. Those people aren’t voting for Obama again.
Seems that a lot of them had hopes of getting rid of the whole race issue for good by voting for a black man. While I didn’t vote for him, I had faint hope that having a black president would help kill the whole race issue. Obviously it didn’t.
But in her case she was probably right.
He has so tanked the economy she probably lost both her house and car and so does not have to worry about the mortgage and the gas.
So why didn’t the NY Times do an article about white voters still steady and strong for Bill Clinton in 1996?
Nothing like a little racism in the morning...
My belief is that racism is so deeply ingrained in at least 95% (my estimate) of the black population that those so-called black conservatives will still vote for "The One" because they will not be able to see past his skin color.
They were stupid and racist in 2008 why should we think they will do anything different even though the Country is in ruins. Race trumps our Constitution, freedoms and liberties with a vast majority of blacks.
Maybe I am just jaded because I have to live and work around the DC area.
In case anyone wonders why Obama, raised completely by whites and a liberal Harvard snob, often talks in a phoney black dialect, well here is the self serving racial politics reason.
Cain will pick up 15 to 25% of the black vote.
Black Voters are the dumbest voters in the World.
That means conservatives didn’t vote.
Either that, or there were more black votes cast than there are blacks of voting age.
Is Obama Black?
Pray for America
Dealer, give me your half Negro and we’ll raise you a half Negro. (Imagine a card game of race baiting between Republicans and Democrats).
