Perry (re Trump)He doesnt think its real.
Pery: I dont have any idea. It doesnt matter. Hes the President of the United States. Hes elected. Its a distractive issue.

Right answer. Don’t give Obama credit or say he’s eligible, but don’t get sucked in.
Good on Perry.
Ahh yes, once again an establishment politician not interested in the constitution or the rule of law.
Figures.
Good on Perry, seconded.
“Right answer. Dont give Obama credit or say hes eligible, but dont get sucked in”
I agree, this is not the time to get sucked into a liberal media trap. He did good with his answer.
I agree to this extent, get Obama out of office first and then after we’ve taken back the White House and the senate go after this with all we’ve got. Going after it now just gets you branded as a crazy but it is still a major constitutional catastrophe that must never be repeated.
Actually, Rick, it matters a great deal, if you care a whit about the Constitution and the rule of law.
I understand that speaking frankly and honestly about Obama's ineligibility is considered a 'third rail' of national politics, but I think Perry could have phrased his dismissal of the subject a bit better than that.
Ideally, have Herman Cain sick the new Justice department on this issue. It could lock away a whole hoard of lefties and corrupt officials (Pelosi - claims she certified it, and countless others).
I don’t think Obama was born in Hawaii and the thing he foisted on America as his birth certificate smelled fishy at best, but at this point all our political people can do is say they don’t know if it is real or not and then move on. The time may come when we can get to the bottom of this barrel of crap that is Obama’s life history.
Do you honestly think the Reid controlled Senate would remove Obama from office? If the answer is no, then Perry is correct. It doesn't matter.
Don't be an ass. Read my second paragraph.
So I'm an ass for asking a question? That's some logic if I've ever seen some.
“...weve taken back the White House and the senate go after this with all weve got.”
A reasonable strategy with the exception of consideration of the lack of political courage/gonads of Republicans. Republicans, most likely, will be the first ones to say that “we must move on” to the more important issues of governance when they could have the opportunity for thorough investigation and making sure this sort of crime against the Constitution/We, the people not happen again. They could have the opportunity to put the “fear of GOD” into these leftist criminals/thugs, but they won’t.

No, you're an ass for ignoring the second part of my post, and slamming me for having the audacity to call out Rick Perry for snubbing his nose at the Constitution.
Perry on the birth certificate.
“I respect people that believe he should prove his citizenship,” Cain told a conservative Florida political blogger. “He should prove he was born in the United States of America.”

Supporting and Defending the Constitution always matters, especially if you are running for the highest office in the land. Perry's playing populist dodgeball again instead of answering the question through a Constitutional filter.
And they're asked the same question of all the candidates??
And did anyone come up with a "real" opinion AND TAKE ACTION?? Of course not.
It's called "picking your battles". Perry did fine.
As good an answer as he could give, IMHO, To be identified with birthers at this time is a losing issue. If he is elected President, he can pursue it. He does not have the resources to prove one way or the other, and any other answer would be wrong. On another thread today, some dude claimed that Cain voted for Obama, and he was “run outa town” for it, because he couldn’t provide proof. What do people here think would happen to Rick if he would have said “ I think the BC is a forgery”?
