Biden can’t recommend that we arm and defend ourselves against the criminals. His chances of re-election are already bad enough without losing those votes.

Biden is just being Biden; an idiot. This kind of over-the-top rhetoric is ridiculous because it attempts to do what liberals always do: justify growing government (the Obama ‘jobs bill’ - paid for with borrowed money) with an emotional appeal that ignores reality. Using non-existent cops and a hypothetical frightened victim as his verbal props, Biden tries to convince the unwary that not voting for this irresponsible bill is somehow endangering your loved ones. Of course, Ol’ ‘regular guy’ Joe ignores the fact that his party - Democrats - did not vote to pass it in the senate. However, when did facts ever stand in the way of an emotional appeal to expand government? Case closed.
