Obama Approval 43% & 39% Say He Deserves 2nd Term
UTICA, NY--Herman Cain is now the runaway leader among Republican presidential primary voters with 45%, more than twice that of second-place Mitt Romney (21%). Rick Perry, who led with 41% in late August, has fallen to 7%, and Michele Bachmann, who led in June and July, now gets just 1%.
President Barack Obama's approval rating among all voters is 43%, and the percentage saying he deserves re-election is 39%.
These results are from an IBOPE Zogby interactive poll conducted from Oct. 11-14.
Cain appears to have won support of voters who previously supported Perry or Bachmann. Romney's 21% is the highest we have shown for him in match-ups with the current field of announced candidates.
Republican Candidates (asked only of the party's primary voters)
If the Republican primary for president were held today, for whom would you vote?
“NovaCain will stop the pain.”
7%????? Ouch!
I love it!!!! I find it funny how the Perry lovers were saying that Cain should drop out because he was not over 10 percent......where are they now? They especially were hard on Michele and demanded she drop out........spit on those freaks. I think Perry should drop out before he embarrasses himself even more (if that is possible). Most Perry illegal alien lover supporters are from Texas and they should just keep Perry in Texas.
Cain should put out a statement.....I dont need $1 Billion. All I need to do is tell the truth and be totally honest with the people.
BRILLIANT BRILLIANT BRILLIANT!!!!!! You seriously have the post of the year!!!!
It is rare to see a seismic shift in polls this quickly, and it isn’t just Zogby although this one is a runaway poll for Cain. Very interesting.
All Obama deserves is to go to jail!
Michelle will be fine leading the conservative faction in the House.
Rick Perry has been a big disappointment. I liked all I heard, but when I saw him on the debates - his swagger, too small suit, chest puffed up, thumbs up gestures, really turned me off - and I really wanted to see him succeed. His answers didn’t help much either. Weak. I was shocked. Don’t see him reversing that anytime soon (ever).
Cain, on the other hand, is a great speaker, great record of accomplishments (a little more in politics would be nice, but not crucial), and I agree with virtually all his core positions. He seems to not be rattled easily (probably his talk show experience) and has a real compelling story. Also has the nerve to actually put forth solutions - like or hate 9,9,9 - better than Mittens 150 pages of gibberish.
So far, in my book, it is all Cain.
Perry Blond Fangirls: “This is hugh and series!”
Jim Schwartz: “This is f@#$ing hugh and f@#$ing series. BTW, I hate that F@#$ing Harbaugh!”
I wonder exactly whom were polled? I’d love for this to be an accurate reading instead of meaningless data pulled from where the sun doesn’t shine..
“This is better than I dreamed of. Cain is going to be the next President of the United States”
If Mr. Cain becomes the nominee (I’d say his chances right now are less than 50/50), 2012 is going to parallel one or the other of two previous election years:
1. 1980, or
2. 1964.
Can’t predict which yet.
If you know who the candidate were in those previous years, you’ll understand why I’m making my own prognostications...
Just sayin’...
Bachmann 1% oooch.
time to pay off the debts , withdraw gracefully and write a book or two or take the Party 3rd Party.. naaaa. ;-)
Clearly, Cain’s in the lead, according to all polls...
Having said that, this is an on-line poll, and worth little more than warm spit
Cain reported yesterday (on MTP) that he has already received over $2m over the past two weeks. This is in addition to the $1.3m he reported having on hand as of Sep 30. So I think the money situation is going to improve very quickly. On top of that, having been a businessman most of his life, Cain will spend that money very wisely and effectively.
The only potential "fatal flaw" I see in Cain is his flippant and off-the-cuff remarks to tough questioning. It appeals to me but I can see where his political enemies might be lying in wait for that "gotcha" moment. So long as Cain can keep in mind he is a presidential candidate and no longer a radio talk show host, he should be okay.
Although this will be relatively awful to go through, the good thing is that this will finally bring into the open, for a much wider expanse of America to see, the fact the Democrats basically “got nothing.”
This debate will crystalize the choices we face as a nation: to remain true to the idea of America or to become a form of Communist nation headed, as they all went, to the ashheap of history.
Cain is getting millions and millions of dollars every day in “earned” media. Because of his ideas and his skill at debating them, he is constantly on TV, giving interviews in various media venue, and getting clips sent around the internet for millions to see.
None of this costs him a dime. He’s “earning” it in media parlance by offering something that people want to hear and discuss.
RedState.com just went on suicide watch.
The went into what could only be called full attack mode on Cain and his 999 plan last week. They are one of the few sites that continue to run “critiques” of 999 without ever mentioning the people that have come out in favor of if (Laffer, Ryan, Forbes, Club for Growth).
After all that, Cain is beating their guy Perry.
Same here. It just seemed so scripted and contrived to me when he flashed that stupid grin with the thumbs up. He just oozes that car salesman shtick that turns so many people off.
Of course, the debate performance didn't help either.
I've always said that I will vote for Perry if he is the nominee but so long as there are better choices available, I am going to support them first.
Agree with you on Cain's plan vs. Romney's. We don't need another 150 pages added to our 70,000 page tax code! Scrap the whole convoluted tax system and give all Americans a single page form to fill out each year.
