Does anybody else notice the HUGE push among the media elites (Rove, Krauthammer, et al) for Romney, now that Cain is showing powerful gains? I have to say, the more they say Romney's a foregone conclusion, the deeper my heels dig in against him. Not because he's a Mormon, but because he WANTS it too much - has been running since the last election, and I WON'T have "them" dictate who our nominee will be.
Colonel, USAFR
It shows how the conservatives who are on Fox News are moderates.
We need a patriot not a politician to fix the country. While I believe Mitt loves the country I think he wants to be liked too much. The country must come first.
Yup They pushed him. Then they tried Pawlenty. Then Daniels. Now back to Romney. He is their tool. They are going to do anything they can to override the popular will.
And remember: Anybody but Obama.
agree.
been there, done that.
i voted for two bushes against my wishes, and it got us spending beyond our means.
i won’t vote for romney if he is the candidate.
Talk is cheap. I guess you’ll take whatever it is that comes down the ‘pike. Right now, we at FR are not through calling each other names for supporting this candidate or that one.
McCain...redux.
GOP establishment really sucks. It’s a guaranteed defeat.
That’s fine and I agree, HOWEVER...
What is up with the fact that last time and this time, the republican party is having a very hard time nominating more conservative candidates?
I mean it’s the republicans, supposedly you need to be conservative to get nominated.
I don’t know the answer but republicans do get to vote in their primaries and if they keep nominating McCain, Romney I think it’s the fault of conservatives not getting out and voting.
I agree.
Romney believes in AGW and working with Democrats. He is the white Obama.
If Wrongney gets the nomination, I’ll be writing in “Palin”.
Most are, most were. Just my opinion.
This Romney push was expected and predicted.
It was forestalled a bit when Perry entered the race but now that he has failed to fulfill expectations the press is on.
I think the idea is to prevent Cain (or anyone else) from building up a solid following.
I don’t think it will work. Romney’s support is still stuck at 25% where it has been for four years.
The time is now for Herman Cain and others to step up their games. Cain in particular should broaden his message and talk about how he is an across-the-board, lifelong conservative.
Romney is a loser and the nation does not need his type of leadership. He is a RINO at best and maybe even a liberal.
I ain’t voting for him...!
Besides having his mittens in screwy healthcare, he’s a believer in man made global warming also.
Yep, Yep, YEP ! You can say THAT again !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If the republic is to die, let it be a quick death. This death by a thousand RINOs is to hard to take.
