Obama Crushes Perry In New Poll
The Business Insider ^ | 10/12/11 | Zeke Miller

A new Rasmussen poll is pouring salt on Texas Gov. Rick Perry's wounds.

The struggling one-time front-runner is now trailing President Barack Obama in a head-to-head matchup 49 percent to 35 percent. Obama was leading Perry six or fewer points in two recent Rasmussen polls — and Perry narrowly polled ahead of Obama in early September.

Perry would fare worse than businessman Herman Cain, who in a poll last week trailed Obama 42 percent to 39 percent. Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney polls even with Obama — the best of the Republican presidential candidates.

Just saw a poll showing Romney, Cain and Perry all beating Obama.

If people would reelect Obama, there are no words.

Not surprising... I get the impression from many Freepers’ posts that they’d rather have Romney as president, or even see Obama re-elected, over Perry.

Not here. NO on Romney, NO on Perry and NO on Obama.

"Despite several bad debate performances by Perry in September, when respondents watched a clip of the Texas governor, he actually gained more support than any of the other candidates and beat Obama by 6-points, 42-36."

Poll: Herman Cain, Rick Perry, Mitt Romney All Beat Obama

But why would Perry say that the American Revolution took place during the 16TH CENTURY?
Because he is D-U-M-B!!!!

So you’re completely ok with Cain whoring himself to be Romney’s VP if he can’t get the nomination? Tells me a little bit more about Mr. Cain than I knew before.

Did I stutter when I said that I am voting for Cain? Did I stutter when I said that I’d prefer Perry to Romney? How about when I said that I prefer any of them to Obama? What part is giving you the biggest problem?

“Too bad you’re going to get Willard as your nominee...lol”

The man can’t break 23% in the primary polls. Not going to happen.

DRey's family knows the Perry family. Don't waste your breath trying to convince him that Perry is dumb as a coal bucket.

Mislabeling historical events with the wrong century is a much more common mistake than saying 1700s or whatever. As a history professor, I hear this mistake often, even among professors. It’s not a big thing, but unfortunate, just the same. You guys sound like a bunch of liberals picking at people’s gaffs like that. We can do it all day with any one of them.

Oh, you mean the INTERNET POLL from earlier today?

Well, if you want to take that over Rasmussen, you be my guest.

49 percent? No way Obama polls 49 percent, even among “all adults,” let alone “registered voters” or “likely voters.” Not even against a can of deviled ham.

"Deviled Ham."

“I thought it was hilarious.”

Like this?;

“Is it the Mitt Romney that was on the side of — against the Second Amendment before he was for the Second Amendment? Was it — was before — he was before the social programs from the standpoint of — he was for standing up for Roe v. Wade before he was against first — Roe v. Wade?”

That one just cracks me up in six different ways!

Perry has two large obstacles to overcome, one is the media which has been constantly putting him down, and the other is FR.

Why don't you stop your whining?

So what if all the membership isn't supporting Governnor Perry right now?

If he's the nominee, everyone will support him.

Too bad you’re going to get Willard as your nominee...

If we do, then we deserve what we get because the Conservatives who have the moxie to defeat Obama aren’t running (Jim DeMint comes to mind), and those Conservatives who are running are destroying each other and giving the nomination to Mittens.

Yes, I recognize the establishment hasn’t been able to get Perry...and once in a while we have someone not allowing the establishment to direct them so we are able to see the truth of how well Perry is actually doing.

It’s almost as though there’s a mass insanity afoot—people wring their hands over whether Perry “debates” well or not, while ignoring the obvious problems with Romney and Obama. Everyone swooned over Obama’s “oratory skills” and voted him into office. I fear the same thing will happen with Romney in the primaries. Romney will be easily defeated once the Mormon record of racism (140 years worth) is exposed by the media, who is just waiting for him to get the nod before they pounce.

Perry is not dumb at all. He actually thinks things through more than most people. A slip of the tongue does not make him dumb.

I've read more than one comment by you that is not true...when I see your name I look to see if it is your opinion or an obvious lie.

Alot of lies have been used to totally misrepresent Perry's record on immigration and securing the border.

A lot of FReepers are going to deserve having Romney as the GOP candidate.

Having said that, I am the first to admit that Perry hasn't helped himself but the Niggerhead mess and the preacher's comments about Mormons really have nothing to do with Perry and were blown up out of proportion.

BTW, I just used spell check for Niggerhead and they have it...Nigger head and Nigger-head. It was a flower...or something.

Cain lost me because he used it to play the race card and I will never vote for him in the primary.
