My personal favorites are:

1) Bachmann

2) Cain

3) perry

Cannot get excited about Gingrich or Santorum.

I don’t see any problem in shuttering both and many other unconstitutional agencies if we have a conservative constitutionalist president and congress willing to do so.

With Sarah out, which conservative candidate has the best shot of knocking out Romney and Obama?

The wrong question. Here is what needs to be determined:

Who best serves all three conservative factions. We do not win by voting against the opposition. We win by voting *FOR* Conservative principles.

Who can serve the Christian Right?

Who can serve the Financial Conservatives? Who can serve the Civil Libertarians and Federalists?

Who can serve the Military/Foreign Policy Conservatives?

Who can do ALL of the above without causing any of the above to compromise their basic immovable principles? United we stand. Divided, we Obama.

On the surface, the only one who has something for everyone is Perry... Even though the quality of what he offers is lacking, at least he covers the bases. Bachmann and Cain while more respected, at least by me, have nothing to offer the Military vote. *No* Foreign Policy experience. Whatever other arguments one might have are nixed by this simple fact. If you don't give the Mil conservatives what they want, they will support another, and the conservative vote is split.

Without the orchestrated votes of all conservative factions, it is hard to win. And, btw, without the Christian Right, it is impossible.

That being said, I am a 1%er, cannot vote for any of them, and probably will sit this one out. My 2 cents.

Draft DeMint. Then we'd have something.

Rick Perry is my choice.

There is no way I would ever vote for Romney.
From talking to people offline, every one of them have told me they like Cain but would not vote for him. They want someone that has had the responsibilities Perry has had as Gov. Actually they were for Sarah or Perry, but now since Sarah is not running they will be for Perry.

I agree, TomGuy. I support Perry right now.
I like Cain but his lack of political experience is a worry

I am too old to think any one person can clean up the mess our country is in.
The Congress must help. Voters must help
Obama must go..along with his “czars”, advisors...his cabinet.
May God guide us in the coming months.

....”He also has to clarify that because he endorses the in-state tuition for ‘undocumented’ students, that does NOT mean he’s ‘open borders.’”....

Oh! You mean that since Perry supports free tuition for “undocumented”- read illegal- students, wants no border fences, and thinks that anyone who does is “heartless”, that doesn’t make him “open borders”. And that he should “clarify”. Got ya.

Well, when I say conservative I mean conservative in all of the above plus border security. If you’re missing in any of the areas you mentioned, you’re not a conservative. Romney misses in all factions. He’s an ultra progressive.

As a staunch conservative who had earlier supported her for the presidency, because of her political positions and for her fight against Obamacare, I found Michele Bachmann's attacks on Rick Perry, without any evidence whatsoever to back up the serious charges she made, reckless and irresponsible slander. During the debates, she kept saying that little girls would be "forced" to take the HPV vaccine, despite the fact, as Perry pointed out several times, there was an "opt out" provision for parents that didn't want it for their daughters. And she is also suggesting the HPV vaccine causes mental retardation, which has been widely refuted by the medical community and by those on the left and the right. And her suggestion is based solely on the opinion of one female audience member that she spoke to after a debate. Even her charge that Perry pushed the vaccine as payback to the drug company for their campaign contribution was baseless. No Mitt Romney, because of Romneycare and his flip-flops on abortion. No Rick Perry, because of his in-state support for illegal aliens and his “heartless” insult. No Newt Gingrich, because he endorsed that ultra liberal, Dede Scozzafava over a conservative in the NY-23 race. No Rick Santorum with his Bill Clinton-like, sick grin. No Ron Paul, because of his dangerous foreign policy. No Jon Huntsman, because he's really a Democrat. Yes for Herman Cain, because... I like Bachmann ideologically, but I don't see a Congresswoman jumping directly to the White House.

Therefore, for the moment, Cain.

NO Cheers, unfortunately.

LOL! Yup. There's the stickler, ain't it? But none of them give you that in spades... just promises... and we all know what those are worth.

Absolutely, which is why he went unmentioned.

Herman Cain:

Luther Cain Jr., born March 16, 1925 in TN, died March 29, 1982 in Atlanta, GA
Lenora Davis, born July 27, 1925 in GA, died August 20, 2005 in Atlanta, GA

Both parents were US Citizens at the time of his birth (Meets the Jus Sanguinis Requirement)
Herman Cain is a NATURAL BORN CITIZEN

■Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics.
■Master’s degree in Computer Science.
■Mathematician for the Navy, where he worked on missile ballistics (making him a rocket scientist).
■Computer systems analyst for Coca-Cola.
■VP of Corporate Data Systems and Services for Pillsbury.

All achieved before reaching the age of 35.

Since he reached the top of the information systems world, he changed careers.

■Business Manager. Took charge of Pillsbury’s 400 Burger King restaurants in the Philadelphia area, which were the company’s poorest performers in the country. - Spent the first nine months learning the business from the ground up, cooking hamburger and yes, cleaning toilets. After three years he had turned them into the company’s best performers.

■Godfather’s Pizza CEO. Was asked by Pillsbury to take charge of their Godfather’s Pizza chain (which was on the verge of bankruptcy). He made it profitable in 14 months.

■In 1988 he led a buyout of the Godfather’s Pizza chain from Pillsbury. - He was now the owner of a restaurant chain.

■He was also chairman of the National Restaurant Association during this time.
■Adviser to the Federal Reserve System.
■Chairman of the Kansas City Federal Reserve Bank.
■Writer and public speaker.
■Radio Host.

■Honorary Doctorates, Johnson and Wales University and New York City Technical College
■Recipient of humanitarian awards, businessman of the year awards, special recognition awards, and excellence in leadership awards.

The position as Adviser to the Federal Reserve System allowed Herman Cain to learn how monetary policy is made from the inside, and understand the political forces that impact the monetary system.

■After reaching the top of the banking industry, Herman Cain changed careers for a fourth time.

■Writer and public speaker. He then started to write and speak on leadership. His books include, Speak as a Leader, CEO of Self, Leadership is Common Sense, and They Think You’re Stupid.

■ Radio Host. Around 2007—after a remarkable 40 year career—he started hosting a radio show on WSB in Atlanta (the largest talk radio station in the country).

■ He did all this starting from rock bottom (his father was a chauffeur and his mother was a maid). When you add up his accomplishments in his life — including reaching the top of three unrelated industries: information systems, business management, and banking — Herman Cain may have the most impressive resume of anyone that has run for the presidency in the last half century.

Unless you think Texas is a liberal state that elects only liberals for their state Representatives, that makes no sense.

The Texas lawmakers voted almost unanimously for the in state tuition bill. Even if Perry had vetoed it they had way beyond the votes for an override.

As far as the border fence goes, it was explained that the border is river, and to put the fence all the way across the state would wall off Texas ranches so they couldn't water their stock. Not to practical in some places.

RE> Do you happen to know when the next debate is?

I don’t since I don’t watch TV. I will typically find the transcripts after the debate and read the FR commentary about it. The debates I really want to see are Cain vs 0bama. For those I will probably invite myself over to watch my neighbor’s satellite dish TV with a case of beer in hand.

I say ‘Cut your cable’ because I think millions of American’s are paying the media every month to divide us. We have to unite. Will you join me? :) If not, flushing twice will do.
