Sarah Palin Will Not Run for President
ABC News ^ | October 5, 2011 | Polson Kanneth

Sarah Palin will not run for president. She made the announcement in a letter to supporters Wednesday night.

Read Palin’s letter here:

October 5, 2011 Wasilla, Alaska After much prayer and serious consideration, I have decided that I will not be seeking the 2012 GOP nomination for President of the United States. As always, my family comes first and obviously Todd and I put great consideration into family life before making this decision. When we serve, we devote ourselves to God, family and country. My decision maintains this order.

My decision is based upon a review of what common sense Conservatives and Independents have accomplished, especially over the last year. I believe that at this time I can be more effective in a decisive role to help elect other true public servants to office – from the nation’s governors to Congressional seats and the Presidency. We need to continue to actively and aggressively help those who will stop the “fundamental transformation” of our nation and instead seek the restoration of our greatness, our goodness and our constitutional republic based on the rule of law....

...... and heads are exploding ....

After hearing that phrase, ad nauseum, for the past year, it gets my vote for the top of the "Should be Banned from the English language" List.

Palin already said she would support Romney, although she did not say he would be her first pick.

I think she supports Michelle, but Michelle did herself in by playing amature hour during a debate which really disappointed me because she was my pick as I examined candidates. I’d still pick her over the illegal immigrant guy, the consumption tax guy and the socialized medicine guy. But her self discipline is doutful now and she’d lose to Obummer if she is not focused with self control. Liberals being human sharks would eat her alive. I am not a happy camper right now. :(

Well said. I’m sure you know you’ll be catching a big ration of sh*t for saying it though.

Well, that’s certainly unfortunate.

Dear Bobbisox:

Sarah was not my first choice, but I think you are being too harsh on her.

Remember, her son Trigg has lots of challenges ahead of him. Do I think she's savvy enough to juggle everything, including his special needs? Yes, I do.

But we don't know all the ins and outs she's facing, and if her little guy truly needs her, or is facing some challenge she doesn't want the nasty MSM to mock (because, yes, they are that slimy), this is her way of sheilding him, and the rest of her family, from more sick stalkers and smears.

She can still do what she does so extremely well; proclaim that the King has no clothes and tell it like it is, while reclaiming some sense of privacy and normalcy for her family.

We don’t want that flip-flopper.

I really don’t think we have seen the Presidential candidate for the GOP yet.

One thing Cain does have going for him that Perry doesn’t—is Cain has his plan out there. Like it or not, it is there. Newt has one, too.

I *think* it was this last debate Perry had said his economic plan would soon be going up on his website, but it has yet to materialize.

I do realize that Perry stepped in later than the others but I think pretty soon he needs to get one out there, let people have something to look at.

Am pretty disappointed but in the back of my mind I suspected she was not going to run. Just had a hagging feeling about it.

But the confirmation of my suspicion leaves me with a sense of dread. The only actual Conservative in the race who can gain traction is Cain. I like him a lot but is he in it for keeps or in it for Romney's VP slot.

Now that’s optimism!

But face it the 2012 nominee is already in the race.

Quite so...

The GOP will continue to miss my contributions until they repent. I believe hell will have a cool/cold climate at that time...

Perry has those goofy wandering eyes and GWB’s voice. America will not elect him. He's just too goofy looking. So... its Cain or that goof Romney. Its over, folks. Conservatives lose. Crappy candidates. Better buy gold now and hide it off shore...

and our refusal to keep him as "One nation 'under' God" in our hearts and minds and very souls.

I postulated that her not running was indeed a judgement we had earned and created a firestorm here. So be it.

I am 73 years old, and she represented my only chance to see a genuine outsider in my lifetime that had the capacity to really turn things around, sort of throw the money changers out of the temple kind of thing. Because she may not have had the Establishment, but she certainly had the people's support.

I did feared I would outlive my country, now I pray I don't. May God forgive me I didn't see all this coming, even though Prophecy is very clear, I guess I failed to recognize the signs of the seasons.

I will probably withdraw to lurker status now, maybe just read Swordmaker's posts, maybe not, since Steve Jobs died today also.
