RE :
It looks more and more like were going to be stuck with Romney. OK, Ive been waiting on the sidelines, like a WHOLE BUNCH of other folks, and now the time has come to commit. Looks like its gonna be MITT ROMNEY. With Herman Cain as the VP. Frankly, I can swallow my dislikes with Romney, to get rid of the the Anti-American terrorist in the White House. And YOU better learn to swallow it, too."
Swallow it? No ...ing way. Even if the RINO party picks Romney I wont support him. I didnt drink the McCain Koolaid in 2008 so I certainly wont drink the Romney Koolaid.

No, Sarah is thinking about Sarah. Her family and this false sense of security. Alright, she doesn’t have the fight in her. This playing games with bus tours and speeches and teasing and to not be in it when she could spout off her opinions but wasn’t up to the arena and the most dangerous position this country has ever faced with this demon in the White House and what is happening to just say now “not in” is just to the point she needs to shut up and go away now. Don’t put yourself in the position when you had no intention. She was always injecting herself into it. She got her money, enjoy the life, but don’t be surprised when this country goes down. Only certain people get the opportunity. She has no say now.

She is the original refusenik. Quit Alaska, now left us hang in the 2012s. Ill be damned if I ever get behind her again.

For me,after watching her on Greta's show numerous times in what appeared to be honest, sincere dialogues, its entirely possible that Palin had not made up her mind and didn't until she made the call yesterday.Few here seem to believe that, which is surprising.

Some people aren’t up to it. She played like she was this warrior princess, accepted a nomination for VP and continued to put herself out there for consideration this time around. She’s not a warrior and is never going to be up for the job. In fact, she needs to shut up now.

And instead you will be supporting....?

Where you going to ban them from, skipper? This pro-life, pro-family, pro-gun, pro-limited government conservative grassroots site will NOT support uber progressive RINO Romney no matter who in the RINO establishment GOP dares direct us to.Stand firm in this, brother.

I think you misunderstood me. I am a very strong Perry supporter and I am so saddened by the savage attacks on Perry from many on our side. Yes Romney the super liberal is the big beneficiary from the attacks on Perry. Cain, Bachmann, Santorum are acting as attack dogs for Perry against Romney and each one of them is hoping that if Romney is the nominee he will pick one of them as his VP. It is very disgusting too see this and it is stunning that many on our side who are supporting Cain cannot see this very obvious fact.
Anyway I am not giving up on Perry at all, and I am confident that when the dust settle and the silly emotions subside people will realize that he is the conservative that we should have to face Obama and he will be our nominee and our next President.

She sure strung a lot of people along, though.
She drained a lot of energy and money that could have been spent on other candidates.

Simply because YOU didn’t know doesn’t mean that a lot of people didn’t know.
Some of us don’t believe everything we hear. It is called being an adult.

Well said. She is clueless and this proves without a doubt she was never up to the presidency.

I think you meant "Cain, Bachmann, Santorum are acting as attack dogs against Perry for Romney", yes?

We are faced with the same problem we had in 2000, folks. And frankly, Romney is the ONLY candidate on the stage EVERYBODY can get behind. What are you smoking? Most people on this site won't "get behind" Myth Romney. You new here?

Wow, what a defeatist attitude. It’s not that dire.

Perhaps she just saw the writing on the wall... that the public support for a run just wasn’t there. I’d love to have had her as President and as a military retiree would be proud to call her Commander-in-Chief... but unfortunately, the majority of American voters don’t agree.
The fact she waited — albeit with a little more “theater” than needed — tells me she gave this a huge amount of consideration on a subject that requires it.
One of the great attributes about Sarah Palin is she’ll go to the mat for the good of America. Gotta trust her judgment on this one. My prediction is she’ll throw her support behind Cain.
And... she isn’t going away.

I am not giving up on America, but I am sorely tried by losing what I thought to be the one person who would take on the challenge and lead the fight.First, abortion is blood on the hands of liberals.
Second, we did not abandon Israel....liberals abandoned Israel.
DC corruption did not happen overnight and it will not be fixed overnight. One or two terms with the best conservative will not fix everything that is wrong with DC.
We are winning, but it takes time. We made massive gains in 2010, but not everyone elected was a conservative.
We will make gains in 2012, but not everyone will be a conservative.
Moving the ship of state takes time.
Keep the faith. We are doing the right things.

People didnt care what Franklin Roosevelt looked like....
Roosevelt’s handlers worked full-time trying to prevent Roosevelt from being photographed with his wheelchair or walking aids. They didn’t want the country to see they had a crippled President and weaken his image.
Now all Presidents are tall. Guess why?

GREAT post — stuff like that keeps things in perspective.

FWIW I just want to say to my fellow FReepers who are serious Palin fans that Im sorry. I know what its like when a candidate who you really put your heart and soul into doesnt do what you thought they would or ought to do. Ill bet, though, that she only made this decision after a great deal of thought.********************************
Thank you, Hetty. You're very kind.
