Perhaps she just saw the writing on the wall... that the public support for a run just wasn’t there. I’d love to have had her as President and as a military retiree would be proud to call her Commander-in-Chief... but unfortunately, the majority of American voters don’t agree.
The fact she waited — albeit with a little more “theater” than needed — tells me she gave this a huge amount of consideration on a subject that requires it.
One of the great attributes about Sarah Palin is she’ll go to the mat for the good of America. Gotta trust her judgment on this one. My prediction is she’ll throw her support behind Cain.
And... she isn’t going away.
Maybe because if she had ANY intention of running FNC would have not (never) paid her to give her opinions on the real candidates all these months due to campaign finance law. Yes, I read the imaginative explanations about how employer FNC would learn she was really running the day of her announcement. They were delusional. Palin had no intention of opening herself up to campaign finance charges, nor did FNC.
Also this should have been obvious:
Palin Has Decided, Daughter Says, Jun 30, 2011.
