The interesting thing is that even if everyone involved gets a Presidential pardon... Mexico is still going to want them and we have an extradition treaty with them.
And Presidential pardons do not apply to crimes committed in or against foreign nations.
If Obama or Holder knew about this, and it appears Holder did, then the are criminally liable. I am not a lawyer, but accessory to murder would not be unimaginable. schu

If he knew about this, it’s not NEARING impeachment, it’s the most vile affair in the history of the republic, and there have been some very vile affairs. The Mexican government would be within it’s rights to declare war over something like this as it was in direct violation of their sovereignty and a criminal act by a governmental entity in their country. But they won’t because I have a feeling they knew.
See, this is one of those things where shortly after this bunch moved in we started hearing about guns going south across the border. I had never heard any of that. Likewise, we started hearing how corrupt President Karzai was, and I had not heard any controversy over that in the past either. When he speaks, he doesn’t SOUND like a third world corrupt dictator. I know, I know, it’s the Oxford english, but still... the word cadences, the sentence structures... they’re very clear, coherent... liars dissemble and cloud, err... 99% of Arabs. Karzai is just as clear as you or me. I think they made the whole thing up because they don’t like him, just like with President Mubarak, and like they tried to do in Dominican Republic.

However, in the hours after Terry was killed on Dec. 14, 2010, several emails written to top ATF officials suggest otherwise.
In one, an intelligence analyst writes that by 7:45 p.m. -- about 21 hours after the shooting -- she had successfully traced two weapons at the scene, and is now "researching the trace status of firearms recovered earlier today by the FBI."
In another email, deputy ATF-Phoenix director George Gillett asks: "Are those two (AK-47s) in addition to the gun already recovered this morning?"
The two AK-type assault rifles were purchased by Jaime Avila from the Lone Wolf Trading Co. outside of Phoenix on Jan. 16, 2010. Avila was recruited by his roommate Uriel Patino. Patino, according to sources, received $70,000 in "seed money" from the FBI informant late in 2009 to buy guns for the cartel.
According to a memo from Assistant U.S. Attorney Emory Hurley, who oversaw the operation, Avila began purchasing firearms in November 2009, shortly after Patino, who ultimately purchased more than 600 guns and became the largest buyer of guns in Operation Fast and Furious.

Third ‘Fast and Furious’ gun linked to agent Brian Terry’s murder
That there were at least two, and possibly three weapons that were part of F&F at the scene I know.
I was wondering about ballistic evidence. I thought the tests done on the originally known two were inconclusive. (not saying I believe that). I had not heard that the bullets that killed Terry had been matced to either those two or the now uncovered third.
Since the drug cartels are in an active Civil War with the Mexican Government, the supplying of weapons to drug cartels by the US Government would be an act of war.
Unless this operation was specifically sanctioned by Obama, then everyone involved would be not only guilty of breaking the laws of the United States, but Mexico could demand that every one of them be extradited to Mexico to stand trial for crimes against Mexico.
I think the World Court would side with Mexico on this one.
Someone is going to start singing and soon. This is probably the biggest scandal in American History.
I see a democrat national convention crisis this summer. Obama is deemed to be tainted by F&F and the Beast is anointed heir apparent.
The Obama administration illegally sold THOUSANDS of firearms to known drug cartels and other criminals in violation of both US and Mexican law that later killed US citizens including US federal agents and Mexican citizens including Mexican federal agents.
The several thousand weapons sold goes way past any justifiable tracking operation and crosses over the line to the outright arming of drug cartels with enough guns to arm an entire US Army Brigade.
If the other operations trafficked half as many guns as Fast and Furious then the number of guns supplied to the Cartels rises to enough guns to arm an entire US Army Division.
That's a lot of fire power.
There is a lot about the actual structure of F&F programs that do not square with the stated intent and goals that we have been given so far. There has to one or more second agendas at work here that this administration is keeping secret.
Create a crisis caused by illegal firearm sales to Mexican cartels, either side of the border, the solution gun control in the US. I'm open to other rational explanations.

Excellent point. Obama just didn’t sell a few guns they could track, they sold THOUSANDS of them with no intention of tracking them.
