Sarah Palin-affiliated law firm made early-state deadline inquiries
Politico ^ | 10/04/2011 | Maggie Haberman

Ken Vogel and I both have sources telling us that calls were made on behalf of a mystery candidate to various early states to determine presidential filing deadlines. Continue Reading

The calls were made by representatives of the law firm Baker Hostetler - a firm that employs lawyer Mark Braden, who represents Sarah PAC, her political action committee.

As Ken notes, while he nor representatives of Palin’s campaign would comment on the calls, Palin is the only GOP politician eying the presidential race who is represented by the firm.

It wouldn’t be the first time that her representatives have sought information on the deadlines marking the ever-shifting GOP calendar.

The current thinking in GOP election law circles is that the first hard cut-off for entering the race is Oct. 28, when presidential candidates who hope to appear on the ballot in the New Hampshire primary would be required to submit a filing fee from a federally registered presidential campaign committee.

I believe Becky Beach of Iowa ( a known GOP fundraiser)has indicated her willingness to step forward if Palin asks. they have become friends and she was in AK earlier this month.

The Undefeated is not Palin’s movie it is Bannon’s. She did not make it , does not own it. The only reason for her to promote it is to get her true story out There. Now why would she bother doing that I wonder?

Thank you for the first intellectual response as to why a serious candidate wouldn't already know this.

As states try to one-up one another, best to double-check.

carling, I’m not sure whether Sarah is getting paid for the Korea speech or not. It’s a political-economic conference complete with lots of important people from around the world. Would they pay all those speakers? I think she is invited to speak about the American Economy as a representative of America. Obviously they believe that she is important enough to speak for her country.

I make no apology...I cannot stand Romney and if he is the nominee (gag me!), I will NOT be casting my vote for him. I’ll vote another candidate (except Obama, of course), or of there is no other, I will pass over voting for a POTUS candidate on my ballot...but for sure, I will not prostitute my vote for Romney. Period.

So now we're at the point where you can flat-out lie about what I post, and assign motives to my posts.

You're the liar, not me. And your pathetic posting history bears that out.

So is she serious? I say yes, as she has gone after Random House Publishing with a vengence. Stomping out the nauseating gossip NOW would not be important unless she was going to run for President.

Could be a preemptive strike. By going after Random House in such a public way she could also be putting her soon to be detractors on notice.
