Businessman Herman Cain’s candidacy was largely dismissed when he announced that he would seek the 2012 Republican presidential nomination. But it’s becoming increasingly difficult to dismiss his candidacy following a string of Cain triumphs in the polls.

“Is Herman Cain a serious contender for the Republican presidential nomination? It’s a question no one in the pundit world was asking until the past week,” Michael Barone writes in the Washington Examiner.

Race card = using race as an argument to something that has nothing to do with race. Ala sharpton and Jackson and shabaaz.
When asked a question that REFERS to a WORD that IS ABOUT race, it is NOT PLAYING THE RACE CARD!!!
Sheesh!!!
He is black, ya know. Race issues are going to come up. Not by Cain but MSM doing everything they can to pit us against each other.
Looks like its beginning to work.
Shame on you!!

Cain should have said: “Sorry I don’t have enough information to make a comment”. However, he did not do that. The Washington Post article was nothing more than a smear and attack against Governor Perry. Cain fell into the trap commenting, when he should have kept quiet.

I don’t think Heeman Cain is a plant that will go Colin Powell on us. Perry is not an establishment candidate either.

.....please correct me if I am mistaken......

I have no answer to your question, but I have not heard Cain make a personal unkind remark about any of the others. Of course I have not heard all of the things he has said, but I like him and would vote for him in the primary and national election....He has worked in the business world enough to probably know you don't call names if you want to get things done....but you do speak accurately and look the other guy in the eye if you want others to follow you...

Herman Cain played the race card yesterday.

Poppycock. He reacted badly, but he wasn't "playing" for effect. It was clearly an emotional reaction, albeit poorly considered. A black guy who made it up the hard way when he did probably took a fair bit of abuse along the way.

Well, here is a good article about Hermann Cain and his ties to the Federal Reserve:

http://www.unitedliberty.org/articles/7628-herman-cain-defends-the-federal-reserve.

He now denies flip-flopping on the issue.

Here's an article about his tax proposal:

http://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/herman-cain-talks-tax-reform-with-9-9-9-proposal/2011/09/29/gIQARO6nCL_story.html

It is amazing what a little research will turn up. There's more to know, to be sure.

Your source?

First I heard of this. I’m gonna do a Google. If I can’t find anything verifying what you claim I’ll make sure Freepers know about you—ronnyquest.

You do that. Freepers will know about me? Like they do not know I am a registered user and have been for some time? Was that a threat? Get bent.

Herman Cain is not perfect, but in my book HE IS THE REAL DEAL and one of the best we can hope for, he will vanquish Barack Obama in a national landslide of historic proportions (unemployment will be over 10% by election day IMHO, and in real terms at least 22/23%). Coalescing behind Herman Cain HOW in a united conservative fashion in a preemptive, early STOP ROMNEY/STOP PERRY movement in my opinion is of prime importance--why do I know this? The MEDIA and the WHITE HOUSE CANNOT STAND IT!. We cannot wait for "her" all day in my opinion. Things are in fast play now, the game is WELL UNDERWAY.

It’s also amazing that the first few paragraphs of the first linked article has a lie.

Cain was a Member of The National Commission on Economic Growth and Tax Reform (1995)I see no where in his official bio that he was a member of the federal reserve.
SEE POST 25, please.

To those that you are addressing in your tag line.I give you fair warning...I have already seen hints of them bashing Cain as they did Bachmann and Perry. The talking point is that Cain endorsed Romney in 2008.Palin not only endorsed Perry but said you betcha to being his VP in 2012.Palin has not disavowed either of these claims. So if you see the Cain is a RINO because he endorsed Romney crop up.Tell em they all screwed up none of em are perfect.Go CAIN!
