We have others who think that allegedly sleeping with too many people warrants a murder conviction.

The parallels are stunning, but our American justice system saved the day for the Duke guys. Thank God.

I really didn’t take an interest in this case until two days ago! I am appalled at what I’m finding out! I take it you already knew.
It’s evident that Amanda Knox probably knew what happened to some extent, but was not physically involved. Police incompetence, but justice prevailed for Miss Knox.

Did you know that there is strong evidence to indicate that the convicted murderer of Meredith Kercher, Rudy Guede, was working for the Perugia police as an informant. He was caught and released of burglary charges 3 times within the thirty days leading up to the murder. Two of those burglaries involved him using a knife. Whether he was working for them or not, and it certainly looks like he was as they kept releasing him, if Prosecutor Mignini and the police had detained him, Meredith Kercher would be alive today. This is why Mignini was so desperate to pin the murder on Knox, Sollecito and initially Lumumba, and why they did not contest the reduction of Guede’s sentence to get him to implicate Knox and Sollecito. There is a lot stuff like this surrounding this case that the press has not covered. Do some research you will be amazed at what went on in Perugia!

I would like to hear what evidence you have that proves that it is “evident” that Ms. Knox knew what happened to some extent”. Please enlighten us.
Now that you mention it, I do seem to recall something like that. I live in the Seattle area so have been following this story when I can.
And I DO agree with some of the posters on how Merideth Kercher’s death gets lost in the whole to-do over Knox. But I blame that not on Knox, but on the Italian system of “justice”.
I thought that was pretty damning as well, but now I am kind of skeptical about the DNA evidence in this case, from the testimony I have read. The places they found her DNA were places one would expect her DNA to be--in the bathroom, around the drain plug, on the light switch, on the bidet... Amanda's DNA was not specified as her blood (saliva? skin cells?) and who knows how old it was. It is quite conceivable that Amanda's DNA would be in the bathroom sink--especially around the drain plug, and that Rudy Guede dripped blood into that same sink. He apparently got blood all over the place and his DNA was also all over Meredith's bedroom.
Interestingly, where there was NO DNA at all of Amanda Knox was in Meredith's bedroom--where it should have been, had she killed her in, what was posited as, a sex-crazed frenzy.
I have been reading about the general mishandling of the crime scene and potential cross-contamination of the DNA evidence and am amazed at how shoddy of an investigation this really was! I thought she was guilty for quite a while. I now have serious doubts and think that the prosecutor is likely an Italian Mike Nifong--IMO.
If she was responsible; however, she will have to face the ultimate Judge, as He knows all.
My heart continues to ache for Meredith's family. :^(

Try 56 straight without sleep before she was coerced into telling the hypothetical story which led to her defamation charges. The police had it out for her.

Sociopaths are great actors. The best. In fact the best ones come across as sweeter and more innocent/vulnerable than Amanda.
The prosecutor called out Knox for being Borderline (Borderline Personality Disorder being an all too common psychological disorder in modern America) and he was accused of being superstitious and iirrational for describing her overall personal qualities as “Satanic” and diabolical...In America, we are secular and far too “enloghtened” to speak in such terms.
Basically it goes like this:
The Knoxes had money (they mortgaged their houses), pedigree/celebrity (if Knox were a minority American, we would have never heard of her), and a savvy PR team on their side. Notice how the American media hardly covers the murder victim nor gives decent airtime to the victim’s family. Nor has anyone sat down to interview the Italian jurors, investigators, and prosecutors who initially convicted her—to get their side of the story.
Yes supposedly our justice system is so great..but really all you need is the power, money, and smarts to work the system and you can even manipulate a foreign court system too.
Don’t even get me started on the fishy supposed “independent team” of investigators who called to question all the damning evidence on the basis of some technicalities.
Regardless of whether Knox literally stabbed Meredith, she clearly had SOME involvement in the ultimate outcome...but she will be invited bsck to America as our sweetheart.

its because deep down..millions of middle class, specifically white Americans can see themselves, and the children they’ve raised in Amanda and they feel implicated...Sure most people aren’t murderers, but most young well to do Americans happen to be as classless, tasteless, perverse, stoned, and drunken as Amanda—hence our embarassing reputation abroad. And we wonder why our country is going down the drain.
