Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain predicted on Fox News Sunday that GOP primary voters will find New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie too liberal if he decides to join the race for the White House.
Moderator Chris Wallace pointed out Christies views on gun control, civil unions, immigration, global warming that may not be conservative enough for Republicans, and asked Cain if Christie is too liberal to be the GOP nominee for president.
Yes, Cain responded. I believe that a lot of conservatives, once they know his position on those things that you just delineated, they are not going to be able to support him. I think that it is absolutely a liability for him if he gets in the race.
There has been rampant speculation in recent weeks that Christie would change course on his repeated statements that he will not run for president, as donors and Republicans continue to push him to run.
Most of the conservatives believe that we should enforce our borders, Cain elaborated, they do not believe people should be here without documentation. They do not believe global warming is a crisis or a threat. Yes it might be a little bit out there, but they dont see it as a crisis or a threat. And as you go right down the line, hes going to turn off a lot of conservatives with those positions.

RE: Can we get the record straight here.
Sure, let’s do it.
(a) he agrees with gay marriage
Cain told reporters on a conference call that the Obama administrations decision to stop defending the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) in court was an impeachable offense.

(b) he agrees with civil unions

(c) he agrees with gays in the military
Cain is a staunch opponent of gay marriage and believes that we Americans need to protect the sanctity of marriage as defined between one man and one woman. He does not support civil unions and would reinstate ‘Don’t Ask Don’t Tell’ which prohibits homosexuals from serving openly in the military.

“I guess that confirms my suspicion that there really are not that many conservatives attacking Rick Perry.”
Well, the WSJ isn’t attacking Perry. They like his stand on illegals. That’s because they want to make money off them.
As my old professor would say:"Facts are hard to come by."
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but yours seems particularly weak in terms of evidence. When you are shown to be wrong, will you admit it on this site?
You are not my friend and my comments are not accusations; they are opinion, my point of view, and they are every bit as valid (if not more so) than yours.
You probably watched him on TV today (that is how cults work). You don't really need me to post what he said.
"There isn't a more vile, negative word than the 'n word,' and for him to leave it there as long as they did is just plain insensitive to a lot of black people in this country," he said during an interview on "Fox News Sunday."
"Since Governor Perry has been going there for years to hunt, I think that it shows a lack of sensitivity for a long time of not taking that word off of that rock and renaming the place," Cain told "This Week" anchor Christiane Amanpour. "It's just basically a case of insensitivity."
And then the hypocritical Cain used the word himself on national TV; what a racist hypocrite. He practiced racism today; I guess he needs the money.
In retrospect he is going to apologize to the homosexual soldier pimping the end of DADT. He is a fake, fake, fake conservative.
Huh? Do you have anything to support your opinion or did you do a double shot after every touchdown today?
RE: His comment after the Florida debate about the audience booing the alleged gay soldier and the Perry smear.
Let’s take that piece by piece:
Herman Cain said he would defend the Gay Solider’s service for his country, BUT NEVER SAID HE DEFENDED THE REPEAL OF DON’T ASK DON’T TELL.
Here is what he said ;
“I happen to think that maybe they were booing the whole ‘don’t ask, don’t tell’ repeal more so than booing that soldier.”
In fact, he is on record as saying he would REINSTATE DON’T ASK DON’T TELL.

He called the naming of the Perry Ranch called Nigger Head insensitive. How does that equate to race baiting? He was asked a question, he answered it based on what he thinks. He NEVER CALLED RICK PERRY A RACIST.
Yes, I am aware Cain has spoken out about global warming, I want to know why he said it like this, like he distances himself from ‘they’=us’...
Why does he say “yes, it may be a little bit out there, but they”?
Maybe I am misreading, but it reads odd.
Cain just said people who don’t believe Global warming is a crisis or a threat may be a little “out there”. This from Mr. “True Conservative”.
LOL; Cain has already said to Wolf Blitzer "Today I could not support Rick Perry as the nominee for a host of reasons."
Let me know, on this site, when you leave the cult.
You will not get a response to your valid question, because
there is no appropriate and truthful response possible. I am
learning to not respond to posts which are out of the realms
of reality. It is a waste of time.
Just reading through this thread and you are the most blatant racist I’ve seen on FR to date.
RE: they are opinion, my point of view, and they are every bit as valid (if not more so) than yours.
OK since you push my offer of friendship aside, then we are NOT FRIENDS. As you wish.
As for your opinion, hey if we disagree, WE CANNOT BOTH BE VALID.
To use the word nigger today IS Insensitive. If you know that the word is a slur against black people, why would you continue to use it?
But I did not hear Herman Cain call Perry a racist. He did say that the use of the word is insensitive and it is.
And your use of the word racism simply shows that you use it without even thinking of the meaning of the word.
A racist is someone who holds the belief that all members of each race possess characteristics or abilities specific to that race, so as to distinguish it as inferior or superior to another race or races ( From the dictionary definition).
WHERE IN HERMAN CAIN’s STATEMENT DID HE LEAVE THE IMPRESSION THAT HE BELIEVES THAT ONE’s SKIN COLOR MAKES ONE SUPERIOR OR INFERIOR TO ANOTHER?
Finally, he never said he supported gays in the military, HE IS ON RECORD AS BEING FOR THE REINSTATEMENT OF DADT.

Herman Cain said he would defend the gay soldier ( and that would be because of his service for the country ). He did not say that he supported the premise of the soldier’s question.
How do you get there from here? You do know how to read, don't you?
Ah, you do err; I would vote for any GOP nominee over Obama; I will do everything I can now to see that that nominee is not Bachmann, Cain, or Romney. Paul and Santorum can do that for themselves. Huntsman and Johnson are not worth considering. Perry and Gingrich are the only acceptable (current) candidates for me. Palin would obviously be acceptable to me as well.
When the GOP does not nominate Cain I would not be surprised if he is the willing tool of the journalists he played with today, bringing up racist politics again.
The global warming guy?
Not a damn thing.
You are the one who used it. That either makes you an insensitive hypocrite, a racist, or someone who has a get of jail free card to use the N word..
You don't even realize how surreal you are defending Cain for his racist political attack on Perry while you use the word.. A cult I tell you; that is what this Cain following is.
He NEVER CALLED RICK PERRY A RACIST.”
No, he very unsubtly implied it. He knows that it isn’t the “Perry Ranch”, but it didn’t stop the smear. Moreover, he ran with something that is as viciously fabricated by the left as a lot of the smears against Palin.
In case you don’t know, all a hunting lease does give you the right for a few weeks a year to walk around someone else’s land looking for deer, doves, javelina, etc. If you finde them, you can shoot them. That’s it. Perry’s family - probably his father - violated the lease when the stone was painted over.
As for the sodomite claiming to be a soldier, Cain later said he should have defended him. He didn’t just say that he thought they were booing the repeal of DADT. I don’t think Cain was misquoted.
