Yes, I am aware Cain has spoken out about global warming, I want to know why he said it like this, like he distances himself from ‘they’=us’...

Why does he say “yes, it may be a little bit out there, but they”?

Maybe I am misreading, but it reads odd.

I can’t speak for Cain. But I’ve always said (in fact, I mentioned in an unrelated thread today http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-chat/2786905/posts#12) that we can’t assume that most Americans will agree with us on global warming. We have to understand the science in order to refute the non-science and we won’t be served by quick and easy talking points attack.
