In a column for the Daily Caller, Tancredo, who ran twice for his party's presidential nomination in an effort to inject the illegal immigration issue into the larger debate, is slamming Perry for his soft policies on illegal immigration in Texas -- and what Tancredo calls his "Muslim blind spot."
"What is not yet as widely known about Perry is that he extends his taxpayer-funded compassion not only to illegal aliens but also to Muslim groups seeking to whitewash the violent history of that religion," Tancredo writes.
"Perry endorsed and facilitated the adoption in Texas public schools of a pro-Muslim curriculum unit developed by Muslim clerics in Pakistan."
Tancredo cites a study by The Center for Immigration Studies, which shows that 81% of the 279,000 jobs created in Texas in the past four years went to non-citizens, a high number of them illegal aliens, to discredit Perry's central presidential argument -- that he's overseen a 'Texas miracle' of job growth while the national economy continues to decline.
And in 2008, as Tancredo points out, Perry helped expand the Muslim Histories and Culture Project, a teacher-training program spearheaded by Texas Ismailis that introduces Islamic history and culture curricula into Texas schools.

Reaching out to Islamists and Reconquitas like Mexico's Vicente Fox.
"We are Mexicans that live in our territories and we are Mexicans that live in other territories. In reality, we are 120 million people that live together and are working together to construct a nation." - Vicente Fox
Texas as just another Mexican Territory where Mexicans live and work to build their nation! But at least Perry's not a "nativist."
In April 2004, the Aga Khan Foundation (AKF) and Univ of Texas-Austin finalized a grant proposal that created the partnership that became known as the Muslim Histories and Cultures Program (MHC). MHC recruited and directly trained 80 teachers affecting approximately 15,150 students of World History and World Geography in ten key Texas districts in 2005 and 2006. The purpose is two-fold 1) to fulfill Governor Rick Perrys desire to better educate Texas teachers on Muslim topics and 2) to train teachers to use a cultural lens approach to understanding other cultures. Governor Perry was instrumental in getting this program off the ground.
Let’s see here. According to the (many) anti-Perry threads you’ve lately posted:
Perry is pro-amnesty
Perry is a crony capitalist
Perry is pro-choice
Perry is pro-Muslim
Perry wants to harm little girls with the retard shot
Perry is a statist
...it’s a wonder this guy lasted 10 years in Texas as governor.
Did I miss anything, other than the photo of Sarah Palin on your profile? You won’t even say what state you live in, either. Why is that?
Guess the question for you is. Why would you vote for a "naive patronizing politician" like Perry?
I don't like being preached to by anyone. Suffice it to say, we must remain vigilant against all our enemies. Rick Perry is not our enemy, however.
>>>>>Islam and Illegal Immigration are threats to the National Security of the U.S.A.
Yes. Specifically, Islamoterrorists and Mexican/CA/SA narco-terrorists. Not the run of mill Muslim in the ME or the poor Mexican who never got further than 50 miles from where the town they were born in. But you point is well taken.
Like what? He did spend $400 million of Texas taxpayer dollars to try and do the job the federal government won't do. What could he have done? I'll be waiting for you wisdom, as will be America, I'm sure.
Ad hominem is the first sign of a lost argument.
Can you say, hyperbole?
We'll see ! As the CIA officer said at
the end of Charlie Wilson's War
I’m just pointing out the general theme of your numerous negative threads about Perry. If that’s ad hominem to you, then I suggest you toughen up a bit. You don’t debate points, you just post hit pieces and then poke at posters who are trying to debate it.
So ... what state do you live in? Why won’t you answer that simple question?
You guys are hilarious.
I say stone Vicente Fox! LOL
Didn't have the specific information on his currying favor with islamists.
Nor the infamous "heartless" comment regarding illegals in-state tuition.
But now I do,and not to worry, I won't be voting for Perry in the Primaries.
They're treated like Texans because they are Texans: 3 yr residents, TX grads, and working towards citizenship. Texas sees it as an alternative to a life of welfare and crime because the Feds didn't keep them out, won't removed them, won't do anything. As explained on Hannity a day after the debate, "heartless" was meant as a condemnation of the situation.
If this one item trumps everything else for you, don't vote for the guy and move on.
Good for you! Let that unprincipled, two faced scumbag Romney be the nominee. Now that's the ticket!
I don't think it was a case of hurt feelings, but a response to the deliberate insult to people who believe that the illegal behavior of illegal aliens should not be rewarded.
And I expect it reminded more than a few of some oldies but goodies they heard from another Texan, such as:
"Family values don't stop at the Rio Grande."
And sweet Laura calling those who opposed Harriet Miers "sexist".
Lots of folks are fed up hearing insults from pompous, elitist, name-calling, so-called Republicans and their holier than thou posturing.
"Hurt feelings" is not an accurate description of the reaction. Fed up is one of the milder descriptions. \
Didn't we elect that guy twice already? George, something or other.
So, do you think Tom Tancredo is helping Romney?
OK, you don’t like Tancredo, but what about the value and veracity of what he says?
Do you really have to ask?

So I guess he had a program for teachers to learn about Jew's? Since he had Jews and Moslem's I suppose he also did Christians? They’re all Americans, I wonder did he include Sikhs? What about Buddhists?
I'm sure there is no reason for this gossip, this is just picking on Perry. I think we should instead focus on Romney, after all HE IS MORMON! Well anyway I think you get my drift.
Relax...
In the Primary Romney is not my choice, neither is Paul, Santorum,Johnson,Bachmann,Gingrich,Huntsman, but Herman Cain is, unless Sarah Palin show's up.
