TRENDING: Cain: Black community 'brainwashed' into voting for Dems
CNN ^

Washington (CNN) - The one African-American running for the GOP presidential nomination said Wednesday the black community was 'brainwashed' for traditionally siding with liberal politicians.

"African-Americans have been brainwashed into not being open minded, not even considering a conservative point of view," Cain said on CNN's "The Situation Room" in an interview airing Wednesday between 5-7 p.m. ET. "I have received some of that same vitriol simply because I am running for the Republican nomination as a conservative. So it's just brainwashing and people not being open minded, pure and simple."

Cain went on to explain that his interactions with African Americans led him to be optimistic about his own chances with the demographic.

Cain will be a nice foil and contrast, making it easier to see what nonsense this stuff is.

"It's not insulting as much as it is a disservice to the American people," Cain said. "Chris Christie has been saying for a long time he's not interested in running. The media is trying to create a story by sucking Chris Christie into the race, just like they made a story by sucking Rick Perry into the race."

Perry is unprepared--and Rush says he gets tired after an hour.

The "no heart" comment was the sound of a political coffin lid slamming shut.

Cain provides the following which I do not recall ever encountering:

He continued, "I believe a third [of African-Americans] would vote for me, based on my own anecdotal feedback. Not vote for me because I'm black but because of my policies."

I think thanks to Obama the young know-it-alls have lost their innocence, see their future is on the line and behold, here's Cain the stronger horse.

Obama the weak horse; Cain the strong horse--and the difference is individual inspiration in a climate of freedom--

--not the crippled victim totally dependent on Borgean bureaucracy.

Why would black people vote for Hermann Cain?

Obama gives them the EBT card, the TANF welfare check, the WIC, affirmative action, diversity jobs, the Pigford scam, subsidized housing, energy assistance, tons of government jobs, etc.

How do you compete with that?

That was the biggest statement in that piece..and a most astute observation on Herman Cain’s part. He cut right through the crap and put it right back on the media. WOW!

Even if Cain doesn’t get the nomination, it is a pleasure to see him in the race.

Oh, I don't know... Give Black men the opportunity to gain self worth through struggle and perseverance. Make it clear that they are in charge of their own lives and dignity. Give Black women the opportunity to have a home with a father in it that she can love and support and who will raise and teach her children well...

I really think that, unlike the Bamster, President Cain would be the most powerful role model for Black Americans ever.

His authenticity is undeniable.

CNN can't even see their obvious racism:

The one African-American running for the GOP presidential nomination... (emphasis added)

Why didn't they just come out and say The token Uncle Tom running for the GOP presidential nomination...

?

Herman Cain Declines to Sign Pro-Life Pledge

Cain issued a statement to explain why he chose not to sign the pledge. He said he agrees with the first three parts of the pledge because he “adamantly” supports the appointing pro-life judges and selecting pro-life appointees to his Cabinet and the Executive Branch as well as ending taxpayer funding for abortions, but he had a problem with the last part of the pledge.

“The fourth requirement demands that I 'advance' the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act. As president, I would sign it, but Congress must advance the legislation,” he said. “I have been a consistent and unwavering champion of pro life issues. In no way does this singular instance of clarification denote an abandonment of the pro-life movement, but instead, is a testament to my respect for the balance of power and the role of the presidency.”

True HOPE is a future of dignity and pride without dependence on government.

Kids who deserve and earn all their opportunities, not matter how hard their parents had it (like Herman Cain).

It turns out that the percentages of GOP candidates who are black accurately reflects the black population percentage of our nation.

Interesting ... does anyone know where he stands on EOs? I'd think, based on his statement above that he'd be firmly against them as a unconstitutional infringement on the rights and independence of the Congress.

I’m pro-life, and I don’t know the details of the SBA pledge, but politicians are idiots to let others phrase their views. Let him articulate his own views, and let the SBA decide whether to endorse him.
