Remember that clever little Ford ad that showed an actual buyer being led into a surprise news conference and answering impromptu questions? You know, the one where the buyer says, I wasnt going to buy another car that was bailed out by the government. I was going to buy from a manufacturer thats standing on their own: win, lose, or draw. Thats what America is about is taking the chance to succeed and understanding when you fail that you gotta pick yourself up and go back to work.

It could be a banner year for Ford!
Quick!
Some FReeper must capture the Ford ad now!
We can always add a trailer addressing the White House intimidation tactics.
If the administration pressures Ford to pull the ad, aren’t they benefiting Ford’s completion and isn’t the government then breaking the monopoly laws being they have connection to Ford completion?
No telling what the administration's thugs threatened Ford with to make them pull the ad.
Ford will become the Harley Davidson of automobiles.
Ford took a huge amount of money from the Federal Government... they just paid it back with interest. But it was likely Ford was insolvent if they didn’t get short term liquidity from the government at that time, as there were no private buyers participating in the auto loans paper market at that time.
