A rich former Google executive pleaded with Barack Obama to raise his taxes Monday, boosting the US leader's push to get well off Americans to bankroll his $447 billion jobs plan. Obama stormed through the American west on a three-day tour devoted to hammering Republicans and piling up cash for his 2012 reelection bid, which is overshadowed by 9.1 percent unemployment and a wobbling economy. Former Google brand manager Doug Edwards became an instant media sensation when he joined billionaire investor Warren Buffett in calling for those who had done well in America to do more to help the struggling masses.

The bigger crock, IMHO, is the fact that LinkedIn and BO both pretended that this thing was random and wasn’t staged. Commie propaganda scum.
20-teen’s version of the “pony-tailed guy”?
They can aford it, right?
Hey, Doug! Write a check! What are you waiting for?
If you’re smart, give to a favorite charity. Better than giving it to Mr. Obama. He can’t count.
Progressives don’t understand the difference between value creation and value capture.
Send in all you want to assclown - but keep your libtard hands out of MY wallet.
All the people who think they aren't taxed enough, along with those that don't pay any income taxes, could all come together and raise millions for the US Treasury Department.
If youre smart, give to a favorite charity.
If you’re more ideological than smart, give to the government.
Either way, if you want to do it, there’s no one standing there with a gun saying you may not.
...nothing stopping him from donating more of his money to the treasury. Meanwhile, he will continue to pay an army of accountants to find every possible loophole and deduction.
I could support raising taxes on all Google execs
What a scam!

Ive often said that I wish there were some humane way to get rid of the rich. If you asked why, Id answer that getting rid of the rich would save us from distraction by leftist hustlers promoting the politics of envy. Not having the rich to fret over might enable us to better focus our energies on whats in the best interest of the 99.99 percent of the rest of us. Lets look at some facts about the rich laid out by Bill Whittle citing statistics on his RealClearPolitics video Eat the Rich.
This year, Congress will spend $3.7 trillion dollars. That turns out to be about $10 billion per day. Can we prey upon the rich to cough up the money? According to IRS statistics, roughly 2 percent of U.S. households have an income of $250,000 and above. By the way, $250,000 per year hardly qualifies one as being rich. Its not even yacht and Learjet money. All told, households earning $250,000 and above account for 25 percent, or $1.97 trillion, of the nearly $8 trillion of total household income. If Congress imposed a 100 percent tax, taking all earnings above $250,000 per year, it would yield the princely sum of $1.4 trillion. That would keep the government running for 141 days, but theres a problem because there are 224 more days left in the year.
How about corporate profits to fill the gap? Fortune 500 companies earn nearly $400 billion in profits. Since leftists think profits are little less than theft and greed, Congress might confiscate these ill-gotten gains so that they can be returned to their rightful owners. Taking corporate profits would keep the government running for another 40 days, but that along with confiscating all income above $250,000 would only get us to the end of June. Congress must search elsewhere.
According to Forbes 400, America has 400 billionaires with a combined net worth of $1.3 trillion. Congress could confiscate their stocks and bonds, and force them to sell their businesses, yachts, airplanes, mansions and jewelry.
The problem is that after fleecing the rich of their income and net worth, and the Fortune 500 corporations of their profits, it would only get us to mid-August. The fact of the matter is there are not enough rich people to come anywhere close to satisfying Congress voracious spending appetite. Theyre going to have to go after the non-rich.
they would not say raise taxes if they did not know how to avoid them.
During viet nam the illiterati would “protest” by refusing to pay taxes. HOWEVER they would place the money in a seperate account, tell the IRS the account details, and the IRS would simple garnnish the account. The protest looked good for PR and the rich illiterati (hollyweirdos etc) would pay their taxes so they could keep making big bucks.
You’re right!...The biggest joke and insult to anyone with an I.Q. above 2 was the Kenyan Catastrophe pretending it was a legitimate question!...Jeez, I can’t stand any of these damn liberals!
Actually this EXACTLY what we want. People who pay no taxes should be paying a minimum tax. Think of the impact of half the taxpayers having to pay a minimum tax of say $500!
I say that we should jump on this idiot’s ramblings and whole-heartedly institute minimum tax and no refunds to people with no tax liability.
"You're not very bright are you, Google? The point of all this is to take money for the government from working folks. Our money should be put in trusts like the Bill Gates Foundation where it can be managed sensibly."
In my opinion, it’s time for the poor to start paying their fair share.
“minimum tax and no refunds to people with no tax liability.”....Agreed. Just don’t raise taxes on those who already carry the load. Cut spending/reduce taxes.
